10NL - QcJc, lots of hearts

Default 10NL - QcJc, lots of hearts

Only have 7 hands on villain, 14/14.

Seeking confirmation that I'm good to call here pre when villain's only got 70bb, and otherwise I guess just a general line check. Seems like a fairly clear fold now on the river.

    River: ($3.25, 2 players)
    UTG bets $2.30 ($3.30), $2.3 to kiwimark ($9.61)?

I'd also bet the turn. You still have a decent equity in the post with a possible draw to the nut straight. He's rarely going to have hearts here (though he may have one heart which will call a value bet on the turn). River is obv a clear fold but I think if you bet the turn you get one more street of value from a decent sized range and you also don't have to guess what he has on non-heart rivers.

Granted, his stack size is pretty small so if he c/r the turn it'd be kind of ugly but given that he is probably betting every hand better than yours except maybe the nut flush I don't see him c/r here often at all.

@bikes are you bet calling here given stacks? or b/f like 1.60?

Betting the turn's also really good here because we have the best hand a huge amount of the time and can fold out loads of hands that either improve on the river or are able to bluff us profitably on some rivers. It's a slam dunk protection spot as well as a value bet.

I'd just fold preflop given that he's UTG and only has 70BB.

Okay cool, I get why betting the turn is good. Thanks!

Funny stacksize is why I called pre, 14/14 looks like REGULATOR stats but that just means he raised one hand since I've been at the table, whereas slightly unusual opening size and smaller stack size suggest he's gonna play badly.
