    Default river bluff

    Merge No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (6 handed) - Merge Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

    MP ($31.58)
    Hero (CO) ($25)
    Button ($26.20)
    SB ($12.18)
    BB ($26.47)
    UTG ($47.32)

Preflop: Hero is CO with 5, A
2 folds, Hero bets $0.75, Button calls $0.75, 2 folds

    Flop: ($1.85) 5, 3, Q (2 players)
Hero bets $1.38, Button calls $1.38

    Turn: ($4.61) 3 (2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets $2.50, Hero calls $2.50

    River: ($9.61) Q (2 players)
    Hero bets $4.80

villain is very aggressive...14/11 ...35% fold to cbet

i have taken this line with TP type hands in the past because he is going to fire like 100% of the time when i check the turn.

So i check/call turn in order to get value from his missed broadways that are just folding to a second barrel, and i fire the river to get him to fold his 66-99 stuff, he might be folding TT/JJ here too but i cant say for sure...std or spew?

edit- probably should bet less on the flop too huh

It seems to me you're really struggling to rep anything here on the river...I mean basically the question is simply if he's picked up on your betting-flop-and-checking-turn-to-pick-up-aggro-bet play and will interpret it was such, right?

Hard to put him on a range for the river without 3-bet % and thoughts on whether we expect him to raise flop sometimes. Also, how confident are we that he doesn't check back 66-JJ sometimes on the turn?

If he really has both missed overs and 66-JJ in his range on the river I think this is good. You're right at the bottom of your range (actually below where I think the bottom of your range should be!) and you rep a Q often enough to be able to bluff sometimes too.

On the other hand, I hate that you got to the river in the first place. Having a 14/11 guy on your left is great for pre-flop stealing and having a positional advantage on everyone else. Just be happy to have that advantage and give up easily with marginal hands out of position when you're opening plenty of junk and he has a strong range. I can't see anything wrong with c/f flop.

Not really liking it, man. You've taken this line with TP type hands and he's telling you that he can beat what you're repping. I might try a c/r bluff ott. At least that reps some massive strength and a trap ott...but against someone at 14/11, I'd most likely shut down unless I hit something.
