Default Trips on turn, wet board vs maniac in BB who reraises & shoves (2NL)

The villain is a maniac donk (58/26/3.5) and I flop TPTK in position. My first mistake (I think) is only calling his tiny bet w/ such a wet board. At the time I figured I'd call him now plus his inevitable bets to the showdown if I didn't improve. But happily I then made trips, raise, and call his 3bet. I was thinking he had a pair, maybe a worse set, and he was leading me along w/ his small bets. I didn't see him betting just a FC or SD.

But looking back my bet sizing might have been was off here: $ 0.32 was probably not enough, no? And I'm also thinking I should have just stacked him w/ a 4bet. Thoughts? The river brought a blank, and he shoves. Hmmm.

The problem for me is putting him on a hand. He could have AJ, AQ, QQ, JJ, KT (though less likely), and hell, he could have had TT and been drawing ... or he could have had 72o. How do you put someone like this on a hand? and as played, how do you respond to the river all-in?

vs a guy like this i would go AI on turn. if he shows up fullhouse, well, thats poker, but he's got a lot of draws, Kx other then KQ,KJ, so... i would shove on him on turn.

Raise flop. Raise turn more (about $0.75). Get it in.

Question... why is BB acting first pre flop?

The villain is a maniac donk (58/26/3.5)
Get your stack in on turn. If he's winning, whatever, it's a cooler against this guy.

I believe bc the SB sat out on this hand. It makes the real BB the new SB and that's how it' writes in the HH for some reason. I know, kinda confusing.

Yup. In hindsight, raising flop & shoving the turn would have made more sense. Thanks.
