Default RAZZ/STUD 8:Trouble in the late stages of HORSE tournaments

Okay so this is gonna be a discusion not about a specifc hand but a phenomenon i have repeatedly come across in the late stages of HORSE tournament. I am by no means a bad HORSE player but i inevitabley come to a point in HORSE tournaments where i struggle. We're talking about a typical $10+$1 or $20+$2 HORSE Tournament where we are down to about 17 players (5/5/6 seated on three tables) and we are playing 1000 2000 limit razz/stud/stud 8 and the effective stacks are about 6 or 7 big bets with one overwhelming chip leader sitting at the table. You guys know what im talking about, we've all been there and it sucks.

The problem occurs when you've got one or two super aggresive players at the table who are obviously over playing their up cards. They are raising every time with a 2-8 up card in razz or with 9+ in the stud hi round. you dont have enough chips to really get involved and are looking for a hand to go with. But we know that the villian(s) are raising WAY to frequently to not have at least one bad card in the hole.

How do we combat this in razz for example? do we three bet with 9(up card) 8 6? We know that the villian is gonna four bet us because he has a 4 or 5 up. what happens when we brick fourth? do we surrender three/four bets? or do you just stick to your guns and blind off hoping to be all-in in the holdem round with two live cards.

Please, give me some of your thoughts or opinions
