I've been asked this countless times. So here it is.

Xian·ti ['zhän-tE] n : ...

My real name is John Kwon. Years ago, a friend of mine who has a knack for intentionally saying things funny started calling me John-tee in lieu of Johnny. As this new moniker matured (with months of drunken comradery), its pronunciation became less stringent and more slurred. John-tee evolved into Zhawn-tee. I then took it upon myself to develop an ingenius pseudo-Chinese spelling for Zhawn-tee (although I am Korean, not Chinese).

Xianti was born.

Years later, I decided to Google Xianti on a whim. To my surprise, I discovered that it is a real Chinese word ()! Literally, it means "immortal body." In usage and loosely translated, it means

...God.
