4nl: TT OOP

So this is early on in the session, playing my 7th hand. I had to sit out briefly to take care of something IRL, and still had auto-post checked when I sat back in, so I've posted a small dead blind of $0.02.

I'm uncomfortable at these OOP spots post-flop, so please comment on my thinking.

Okay, I'm UTG with a good hand. I raise. MP and BU call behind - I'm not pleased that I'm OOP vs 2 pops going in a multi-way flop. I also have this feeling that because I posted the dead blind, people are giving me less credit for a real hand - is this a real or imagined phenomenon?

I flop an overpair on a dry board. With so many PF callers, the pot is rather large, and I'm reluctant to play for stacks here. I still have a good hand which can get value out of 9x, 7x, T8s, smaller pp, random broadways, so I bet, on the small side, to try to keep the pot size under control. Maybe when pot control is on my mind, I should bet even smaller on this dry board?

I've only seen 7 hands of the caller, but I've already seen him open limping Q6s and KTs and such so he's probably bad. The one time I've seen him get aggressive was with a very strong hand. I feel like my hand still has value vs 9x and lower PPs. The problem I find in these spots is the awkward stack sizes. I went into the hand not wanting to play for stacks, but by this point any further betting basically leaves us with <1 PSB left. The problem with checking when the pot is already large is that vs an unknown at these stakes I feel like I leave myself open to being bluffed off my hand. Do I have a strong enough hand to c/c turn and river? My thinking was that by betting, I can at least dictate the bet sizing and get him to call with worse, raise with hands that beat us.

I dont think that they are going to give you less credit for a real hand but they might view you as a weaker or more agressive player who wants to play straight away and will put in dead money to do so.

Just wondering do you have any stats on villian from hud?

I would probably bet a little bit more on flop as 7x 9x are still probably calling at least one street, might check call turn as I cant see too many K's in his range after the flop call maybe K9 is you were unlucky. On the other side I can see 108 (less as you have 2 10's) and 86 showing up here aswell and you dont really want to let them draw for free but still I would check call the turn and re-evaluate on the river.

ya sorry stats from HUD were 43/14/50% but only a sample of 7 hands.

Yeah am leaning towards maybe $0.55 on flop, then check calling the turn as I dont see many K's in his range and that could be a scare card for him as you could easily have KJ, KQ, AK and just be making a cbet, if does check behind which is likely than I would be making a value bet on some safe rivers. What do you think about c/c turn?

I find that if you post a dead blind then raise people think that you have a decent hand or are aggressive.

Maybe bet more on the flop - most 9x,7x and T8 are calling regardless of the bet size.

C/c c/f is how I would play if he bets turn, checked back I'd value bet $0.80 on non A,J,6 rivers.
