Default review hand - AQs chasing flush

I don't like the way I played this hand. I just started playing poker so this may be very beginner.

He was 21/10 over 19 hands, so no much of a read here.

    PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.02 BB (8 handed) - Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

    MP2 ($4.19)
    Hero (CO) ($1.97)
    Button ($2.01)
    SB ($2.98)
    BB ($2)
    UTG ($1.70)
    UTG+1 ($1)
    MP1 ($1.14)

Preflop: Hero is CO with Q, A
    2 folds, MP1 bets $0.10, 1 fold, Hero calls $0.10, 3 folds

He seemed loose and he never bet that much. 5BB meant to me that he had a good hand this time, so I put him on 66+, AK, AQ, AJ, AT, KQ, KJ, maybe KT

I just call here. Im not sure if I should consider raising. My hand is not the best but I have position and if I raise and then he misses he will fold for sure. Is that correct?

    Flop: ($0.23) K, 2, K (2 players)
    MP1 bets $0.06, Hero calls $0.06

The flop gives me a flush draw. He bets only 3BB after a 5BB PF bet, I think that meant something like:
    A) Shit! I missed miserably, I hope you too and fold (AJ, AQ, AT)
    B) Crap! now I don't know if my hand is good enough ({66,77,88,99,TT,JJ,QQ})
    C) slowplay of KK

With AK,KQ,KJ,KT he has to bet a lot more and hope to get action with that flush draw.

But I just called thinking that I didn't had a real hand, so I wanted to keep the pot small.

    Turn: ($0.35) 4 (2 players)
    MP1 bets $0.06, Hero calls $0.06

The turn was a blank. I knew it didn't help him, he knew it didnt help me. But he bets again that ridicolous amount of 3BB. Because of my "just-call" on the flop I ruled out QQ,JJ,TT, he would have bet more.
I still called waiting for my flush. I am not sure what to do here.

    River: ($0.47) 8 (2 players)
    MP1 checks, Hero bets $0.20, 1 fold

Now I get my flush, but obviously he thought that I may had a hand at that point and just check/fold.

    Total pot: $0.47 | Rake: $0

This was not a profitable play because I will hit the flush only 35% of the time and I will never get paid off, so how can I do a better play of draws?

    Hi, and welcome to FTR!

Pre-flop is fine. You have a hand that will play well against his range in position.

On the flop, you should consider the pot odds you're given and any implied odds you might have if you hit your draw. There's a post in the digest about this.

You played the entire hand correctly in my opinion, but go read that post I was talking about.

    Thank you Spoonit.

    So here:

    flop ->
pot is 11.5BB he bets 3BB so I have 4.8:1 pot odds
my odds of hitting the flush in the turn are: 5.2:1
He bets a small amount, so either he is slowplaying a monster that sometimes will beat me even if I hit the flush (Kx or KK) or he has not a real hand or a weak one. So I probably couldn't count on implied odds here.

Is not profitable to keep playing but ... I really suspected that he just wanted me out of the hand, and also I was folding 3 rounds so far and I didn't want to give the impression that I was weak and exploitable with that small bet. Actually, this is something I think a lot: I fold a lot (11/6 are my stats in my first month of poker) and I am usually at a loose table and I don't like to give the impression of being exploitable, since all the people love small cbets when they have nothing.

For clarification, it's 1/5.2 which is 4.2:1, not 5.2:1. And it would be profitable to keep playing anyway since you'll make more money on later streets when you hit. This is called implied odds.
