alternative to quick guide to bonuses

Hi!
I started playing back in 05, but stopped for one reason or another until recently.

With regards to Spoons guide here:

Since I made a deposit to PS back in 06, I cannot get the initial deposit bonus....

Is there an alternate site besides PS that would be recommended for the first 5 steps? Or just grind it out with a $50 or $100 deposit?

where are you from?

note that most first deposit bonuses available to US players are 100% up to $600 and you want to max these out. They also take some clearing and are pretty tough/close to impossible to clear at stakes < 25nl. If you're from the US i'd suggest that you grind stars until br = $600 then go bonus whoring - ask for more advice here when you get to that point.

Definitely just grind it out. Like daven said: deposit bonuses are pretty much worthless below 50NL. 25NL if you can play 12+ tables consistently for at least 2h/day.

I wouldn't say they're completely worthless. If you want to get the full $500 bonus you might not be able to playing like 5NL.

However, getting a $100-200 bonus is better than nothing. I started at PS knowing very little and was able to grind a $100 first deposit bonus in time.
