25nl: Flop chk/rai semibluff is 3b
So have had some time this week and next and am trying to put some focused work in to at least get a little better at $25NL. Have def made some improvements. For those of you that remember, my 6m stats used to look like 17/14/2... and have since 5NL. Over the past 50K hands I'm now running 26/23/3.5, 3b 8% and my ATS is 40+. This is all good. However, I'm still running into some stupid sh!t with big hands -- maybe more so now 'cause I'm in more hands. So I'ma post a few and welcome all input.
Vil is 20/17/3 over 36 hands. Never seen him 3bet, also seems to be on the weak side as hasn't defended his blind once and folded to every Cbet so far. Also doesn't seem to be vry positionally aware - I think he's playing just about the same range everywhere.
Pre- I flat as we're deep and would like to see a flop w/ T9s. He's CBet 100% so far, so I don't think that narrows his range much for me. Given he seems a little weak, I chk/rai the Flop w/ the FD as I'd rather take it down then and there and there's a lot in his range that doesn't include an A.
When he 3bets me, I'm thinking a range AA,QQ,AQ,A6s,KsQs,KsJs,QsJs. I don't see him chk/rai w/ KK or AK given reads, or other random FD sh!t. So given that range, I'm getting the 2:1 pot odds I need to call. However, if I call, I'm pretty much commited given stack to pot. And I don't really like a shove, 'cause I don't think I have any fold equity and I'm not getting the money in good w/ a naked draw.
So of course I shove. On review, I'd prolly fold, but that seems weak since I'm getting the odds.
