Default Poker Stars Not Saving Player Notes

I suspected this was happening, but didn't really have proof. I would come across a player I was sure I had notes on, but they didn't show up. So, I started saving player names that didn't have notes, but I thought I did, so if they showed up again, I would know for sure they were disappearing. Today, I finally came across a player who I had thought I had notes on, put notes in, and now they've showed up AGAIN without notes and I know I've taken them. So, what's up with that? I make a point to take a lot of notes and it's highly -EV for me to take notes that won't save long term not to mention the lost effort of just taking notes. Any ideas on how to fix or why it's happening?

Have you got any player notes, or are they all gone? On my computer player notes are stored in a text file called notes.txt (yep). Its in a folder called (something like) C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local\PokerStars, now its possible PS has lost track of the file.

Maybe the file has been moved (dare I say it? deleted), search the whole computer for notes.txt and maybe send PS support an email, they are usually pretty helpful.
Sound off like ya gotta pair!

The notes are on your computer not on Stars. You can actually add notes in PT3 when watching HH's or on HEM. I store all my notes on my Hud anyway. I prefer the mouse over pop ups.

Yeah all your notes are stored in a text file on your computer. Its called notes and its the pokerstars system folder. If you're running Windows vista its a hidden file and I have no idea how to find it. Email support if you can't find it.

The notes show up when I type them, but they don't seem to show up later when I log in. I have a notes.txt file that hasn't been changed or modified since July 15, 2009. It's a large file in the Poker Stars folder. I have another file called notes.txt.tmp that has been modified today.

Also, I have 4GB left on my C drive, so it shouldn't be a space problem.
