    Default Line check..bet larger earlier?

Villain is a station over 150 or so 40/8/0.9.

He's calling lots of suited crap in position, Ax Qx Kx.

Not really sure how he stacks off though other than he's chasing draws but he has weaker pairs etc in his range.

I bet less than pot on flop because there were a couple tight set hunters invovled and figured a small bet will give me all the information I need to see whether I'm beat at this point as both of them will be raising here given their style.

I just realized how awful my turn bet is...I don't understand why I can't step on the gas here I never bet enough :/

    PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (9 handed) - Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

    UTG+1 ($38.35)
    Hero (MP1) ($28.95)
    MP2 ($25)
    MP3 ($37.10)
    CO ($8.50)
    Button ($34.65)
    SB ($6.75)
    BB ($25.35)
    UTG ($24.90)

    Preflop: Hero is MP1 with A, A
    1 fold, UTG+1 calls $0.25, Hero bets $1.25, MP2 calls $1.25, 2 folds, Button calls $1.25, 2 folds, UTG+1 calls $1

    Flop: ($5.35) 2, Q, 9 (4 players)
    UTG+1 checks, Hero bets $3.50, 1 fold, Button calls $3.50, 1 fold

    Turn: ($12.35) 6 (2 players)
Hero bets $7, Button calls $7

    River: ($26.35) 8 (2 players)
    Hero?

So now that I've gotten myself into this mess from being a pussy do I just shove? I have about $17 behind.

Okay I figured out I need to bet $4 on flop and $9 on turn then versus his range I can shove any river card and feel good.

Gone to learn how to bet now.

The lesson here is adjusting bet sizes based on board texture.

Tend to bet bigger on wet boards. This is an action flop and you should be jamming it. I would bet $4 ($5 if I bothered to count the money behind) on the flop and shove the turn.

Some BOARDS call for very big bets and lots of action. This is one of them. AA is pretty far ahead of the range that will give you action here.

This is exactly what I was ignoring when I played the hand.

Thanks for clearing things up Fnord
