Don't call here because it's a 4-way pot and he presumably thinks you have something pretty strong to bet at it twice.

However, I really disagree with posts like Da GOAT's that make such strong reads on people just based on what stakes they are playing. I've seen plenty of people bluff-raising the river with crappy one-pair hands more and more lately at small stakes.

Not enough in this spot mcat. I'd like some kind of a read, even if its just 'aggressive' before I consider calling here. I've seen people raise here with complete air after calling turn with complete air, but not enough to make this call readless and my default assumption on my site is that people are bluffy.
Just dipping my toes back in.

    Wat.

Also, regarding your comment about needing "a read" to call here, by folding you are also applying a "read" on your opponent, even if it's just a generic one that low stakes players are not capable of raising the river without 2 pair or better, albeit that "read" has become less and less valid in the past few months in my experience. It's getting to the point where generic reads often aren't solid enough to fold a good top pair to a river raise getting 4:1.

As I said, I think the hand in the OP is a fairly easy fold, but I just felt the need to disagree with people making such strong reads on their opponents simply based on the stakes, the way you and Da GOAT did in this thread.

id would agree with you my post is very general. i should revise to basically say that i find most players even up to 200nl (thats all my experience up to) wont turn many if any hands into bluff on this river. there are no draws that missed so opp will usually have a pair on the turn at least or is now slowplaying JJ. Now on a blank river he decides to turn his seemingly mid pair holdings into a bluff instead of just calling but this usually means he improved or had like JJ.

i just cant see many hands that call on turn and try a river bluff except T9. I wouldnt see any players at higher levels turn it into a bluff on a dry board.
