    Default Putting villains on ranges..

This specifically applies to micro stakes where players stay at the tables approx ~20 minutes and leave. I am writing this post to ask for advice from the greats on how to put villains on ranges in addition to labeling them as LAGG, TAGG, etc.

Obviously this is easier to do at 50NL and above as you will run into the same players again and again and those players typically play for hours at a time as we do.

At microstakes, however, the only way I know to do it is to look at how they played preflop. If I raised and they called then I can assume they may have broadways but really tough without knowing how they play.

Do you just assume all are fish unless they prove you otherwise? What ranges do you assign to these fish?

I feel if I can learn to assign ranges more accurately, I could make better use of pokerstove and start understanding equity better.

you'll get the most info from observing hands that go to showdown.

I was helping one of my students work on this the other day. The biggest thing I figured out is people really aren't that great at multi-tasking. We were only 2 tabling and talking in skype yet I could recall every card someone was dealt, their bet-sizes, and their timing and he had trouble doing any of that. He then mentioned sometimes he plays 6 tables (eeeek).

So what am I saying? PAY ATTENTION
