    Default 50NL 2 river decisions

    WIth exciting and varied action!

Hand 1: Villian in this hand is running standard loosepassive styles, 40/6/0.8 over ~30 hands. Last orbit he called my UTG raise from the BB w A5o, c/c'ed my cbet on a A49r flop and checked it down (I had 33 FWIW). Also called a shorties shove on a 49Tss board with JdKd earlier. River thoughts? He took a loooooooong time before betting.

    PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (6 handed) - Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

    Hero (BB) ($50)
    UTG ($27.95)
    MP ($51)
    CO ($7.10)
    Button ($51)
    SB ($71.35)

Preflop: Hero is BB with K, A
4 folds, SB calls $0.25, Hero raises to $2, SB calls $1.50

    Flop: ($4) K, 2, Q (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $3, SB calls $3

    Turn: ($10) 6 (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $7, SB calls $7

    River: ($24) Q (2 players)
    SB bets $10, Hero...

Hand 2: I'm new to this table, but first hand i sat down he 'slowplayed' his AA IP after 3betting PF by checking flop & turn then betting $3 into $15 on the river. Board read Ak684 (3 hearts by river). No idea what the other guy called with since i wasn't dealt in.

His postflop actions were much quicker in the below hand, especially flop bet, which is why i called it. In retrospect I think on this wet a flop I should just muck it. But given that everything missed, snapcall river?

    UTG ($29.25)
    Button ($53)
    Hero (SB) ($49.50)
    BB ($55.70)

Preflop: Hero is SB with Q, 9
2 folds, Hero raises to $2, BB calls $1.50

    Flop: ($4) 9, J, 7 (2 players)
Hero checks, BB bets $3, Hero calls $3

    Turn: ($10) 6 (2 players)
    Hero checks, BB checks

    River: ($10) 2 (2 players)
Hero checks, BB bets $8.50, Hero...

    himself fucker.
I hate folding the first river because it's the perfect bluff card and it looks like it could be a river blocking bet with a weaker K some of the time. Getting 3.4:1 I think it might be close but probably a fold.

Hand 2 seems like he's gonna always expect you to fold. I think your flop play is bad given bvb.

my boring input is fold 1 and call 2. I dont think your line is bad in 2 but I wouldnt get into the habit of check calling hands like that with initiative on the flop.

hand 1 isn't that tough of a fold given the description of villain. he is utterly incapably of betting this river with a worse hand than you.

hand 2 i would cbet flop. As played i think i fold river unless he has given me a reason in the past to call.
eeevees are not monies yet...they are like baby monies.

Obv 1 hand does not a sample make but does someone that bets 1/5th pot on river with top set ever value bet so big with a real hand? Am i in danger of levelling myself thinking like this?

Even more boring, I don't raise #2 pre vs an almost complete unknown. As played bet flop.

only reason id fold 1 is the timing tell, usuallly waiting long on river from a fishy player is to figure how he can get paid with his premium hand, especially from someone who just call twice oop and a card likely in their flop calling range lands on the river.

    hand 2 bet flop

A lot of times I see 1/5th to 1/4th pot bets on the river with monsters, and I have a hunch that it's because at these levels the villains really want to show their big hand that they're so proud of. With TPNK, on the other hand, they're not itching to show down.

If I ABSOLUTELY had to make a pubic milkshake, I'd say to do the opposite on one of the hands as you do in the other, but to do the same thing in 2 of the hands that werent mentioned in this thread and to repeat that process when trying to turn cacti into mescaline.
