    I've lost $600 playing 1/2 and 0.50/1 LIMIT
surely at 2/5 NL this loss must be inconsequential

Also I have a problem with poker players who don't play by poker rules taggs and laggs I can read its the people who play wild I have a problem with when I say wild I mean all over the place not raising with ace king 3 or 4 times by 3 difrrent people and I seen pocket rockets on the button no raise this type of poker game really messes my head up

If you cannot handle losing $600, do not play those stakes.

You need to keep track of how people to play and who does what. Keep track of the players who are limping with the premiums and the ones who are raising with anything. Keep track of the players who only bet with the nuts and those who will call with marginal hands. You should know which players will fold to c bets and double barrels and which ones won't. etc etc etc ... You're only playing one table and the hands are super slow, so use this extra time to bank information and put people on ranges when you're not in a hand.

Thanks for the info when I sit @ a table I need to be focus on the table and how hands are played and bank information knowing my opponents are key essential to winning but at my casino there are no lower stakes in no limit holdem and its not about the $600 its about losing period that's why I created this post cuz I have yet to read any books becuz I heard those books are not for lower stakes like $2 $5 no limit but then again the people I follow are the best of there peers cuz a lot of my info I get is by watching youtube videos I was just wondering if people had any good book titles I can go out and buy

3 live sessions is how many hands? 500-800 hands or something? to lose 120bb's in 800 hands is no big deal whatsoever. it's pretty normal actually.

most live games require a much larger pfr than 3bb's to narrow the field.

like i said in reality 3 live sessions is not very many hands. you could be playing great and break even over thousands of hands. the downswings just "feel" worse in live poker (compared to online) because the hands played per hour is so much lower.

losing 120bb's is not a reason to panic and overhaul your game.

I can't give you the same top quality advice the others have given you. However, I think you're making a step in the right direction questioning why you are losing and taking a closer look at your game.

Are you playing outside your bankroll? 2/5 NL is pretty tough stakes for a new player. There are a ton of grinders who regularly play 2/5 live. You are probably way in over your head, which is contributing to your frustration. These players know they have you flustered.

Assumming 100BB buyin, you need $500 to sit at that table. According to rillas BR managament, you would need AT LEAST $5000. Realistically, you need $7500 or $10000 so you have 15-20 buyins for that level. When you look at it that way, $600 is nothing much...simple variance. You can and will loose buyins, no matter how good you are. Poker is a real sucky short term game that way.

Stick to online for now. If you've been playing 8 months, you should really be perfecting strategy at $50NL and lower.

obviously you can't always win. if you play good and are a consistent winner then don't freak out if you have a few losing sessions. you will have many more losing sessions in the future. you will have downswings. don't worry about it.
