Default 50nl kk turns nut fh

1st orbit with villain. I think this is super-standard, just want to make sure!
Pre-flop is standard. Flop bet is light, thoughts?
Turn, there is no way I'm checking behind here. Ideally villain senses weakness or has a jack. Bet-size ok?

I like $4-5 on the flop, just cuz it's my std size and I don't want to tip off a thinking reg.

Turn I think you get the same results with up to pot bet, if he had crap he's going no further, if he has 33 or a J he's taking it to the felt anyway. I would personally go $9-$10.

This makes no sense. If he's going to the felt with hands we have coolered surely a smaller bet is better to try and get him to call with marginal hands like TT?

TT isn't calling a second barrel here IMO.

If he has trips or a lower FH he's stacking off almost anyway you play it.

If your trying to extract from 88-TT,QQ I might check behind this turn and valuebet/value raise the river.

this is bad cos by doing this you dont get proper value from the hands you have coolered, and by checking you still might not get value on the river from the range you mentioned. Id just bet 4 on the flop, 9 on the turn, and if called 26 on the river, as if theyve come this far they likely have a very strong hand so may as well get full value by betting near pot.

You may well be right i was just trying to illustrate the problem with your logic. fwiw I really like bbickes line; we can just shove the river if he bets and he'll call with anything that would have stacked off anyway, perhaps wider cos we look kinda fos. I don't think checking behind loses value ever pretty much and we can catch bluffs (for opp to c/r bluff the river after we check behind turn wouldn't be a bad play at all). If opp is overly aggressive I like what daven did in betting small to try and induce weird shit but the problem with that is the K is a scare card and our line makes perfect sense w/ AK if we're betting small so unless he's going to try and blow us off AK it's not as good a checking behind imo.

It doesn't have to always be "full house = pot, pot, pot". I think there are better ways to maximise in this situation.

Checking the turn isn't bad either, but I think betting less than your norm has to be very situational.....that was my point.....
