poker tools

Like I have said before I am new to the whole online gaming system I was wondering what online poker tools you guys recommend for a newbie to use. I now how to figure out the basics like pot odds and outs and percentages in my head i do it at my live games. But trying to multi table online I can't do it. I have downloaded poker indicator and it is ok but there is not to much that works at sportsbook where I play. Is there somehthing better I should be using.

I play at sportsbook
I play 80 percent full ring games.

I think i mis wrote what I was trying to say. I was wondering if any one new of a better poker calculator that works at sportsbook than poker indicator thanks for the threads though I will read those topics anyhow.

that is the way I was doing it until I seen everyone talking about the new tools out there. Since i have been using poker indicator I have found it harder to pay attention to the players I think your right.

I think you have misunderstood the point of poker tools that people use and recommend.

When people are talking about poker tools and using them they are first and foremost talking about tracking software like PokerTracker or HoldEm Manager. What these tools do is take all the hands you play, put them in a database and allow you to run analyses WHEN NOT PLAYING. You can review hands, analyse opponents' tendencies and do thorough SPR, ABCD theorem, hand range, equity and all kinds of other analysis (yourself, not done by a tool), learn about your own play, your opponents play and figure out how to exploit the games you play.

Poker Tools used in that sense I don't think anyone disagrees with. And typically if people are talking about 'the new tools' it can mean 3rd generation tracking software (like HEM and PT3) which has improved support for analysing poker hand databases.

What you seem to be asking for is a Poker Tool that helps you play the hand you are dealt. That way lies madness.

I wonder why people always want tools to help them and don't really bother to learn how to play the goddamn game

only how to use their tools

and then they complain when somebody who actually learned how to play the goddamn game is beating them

and they'll complain that they are "running bad"

and then will look for newer tools to counter this "running bad"

Like I was saying earlier, I see what you guys are saying after using Poker indicator you spend more time watching stuff about your cards and not paying attention to the game. I have uninstalled it from my computer and downloaded PT3. The problem is it does not work with the format from Sportsbook. Does any one now of a similar software that will work for sportsbook. Thanks

Try Holdem Manager, however I haveno idea if it works with sportsbook. But honestly, I don't understand why people insist on playing on the sites that aren't as well known. My thoughts would be that the fishier players frequent the more established sites, amirite?

I haven't played a whole lot of sites, but I think the small sites are fishier. If there's less players, there's less tables to choose from. Less tables to choose from means it's harder to multitable. The harder it is to multitable, the less likely you are to run into sharks.

To be completely honest, I totally understand your logic here as well. Like I wouldn't think there were alot of sharks on the less known sites. But I wouldn't think there would be alot of fish because the site doesn't get as much exposure as others, therefore it seems someone would need to search more or be "in the loop" to find those sites. To be completely honest, I don't know who or why anyone would play on a lesser known site. I don't see any advantages to it and alot of disadvantages. Just my thoughts.

Depends on the site. A site like sportsbook gets a lot of traffic from the actual sports bettors on the site already. Some sites get there traffic from TV ads. (Full Tilt and Poker Stars) big sites have fish, small sites have fish. Table selection is key. Good multitablers find fish, no matter what site they are on. Find the right tables and make sure your BR is safe no matter where you put it, avoid the obscure.
