Default is this a snap call? (5.50 - ps)

Read on player: Called big bets pf and flop and let go most hands on turn or river. Passive/loose player.

As played, is this an instacall? Is there any reason I should get off this hand besides an outstanding read?

Also, what do you think of my line. Would you do the same? Is there a better line? Thanks guys.

Bet the flop the first time around, and if you get re-raised then shove over. I much prefer to shove over with this hand so we have the benefit of FE than to be the one deciding whether to call.

As played, bleh I guess I call considering the dead chips in the pot and the fact that I have 11-13 outs unless opp has a set.

I wouldnt really want to play for stacks with a hand like this...which is what your setting yourself up to do by check/raising. I'd lead out and fold to pretty much anything but a minraise. In a $5.50 people are stacking off with a flush draw + overs here, plus stuff like K7/A7. Our hand doesnt fare well against that kind of range

lead flop, I would call the push

lead flop, call push, shove over re-raise.

    vs 89o: 62%
vs flush draw and overs: 51%
    vs overpair: 42%
    vs A7o: 40%
    vs 67o: 30%
    vs 44/66: 27%

I threw all these hands into poker stove and our average equity is around 44%. I guess you could throw in some possibility that this is a total bluff with air, but we still are not doing well against an average range. I also didnt include flopped straights like 52 and 85, but I think running into those hands is too rare to include in a range

As played, your getting 1.62/1 odds which wouldnt make this a bad call. But throw in the ICM tax and this becomes questionable.

thanks for the input guys. Let me just make sure I am understanding why the majority of you say to lead out on the flop.

-If I get raised anything less then ai, I will be able to reshove and get some FE

-This guy has been calling bets alot (although this was only about the tenth hand I believe)

-don't want to give a free card to flush draws or higher straight draws

Is this the thinking behind betting the flop? Thanks guys.

Wait... would reraising All In be standard if, lets say I led out and bet 90 and got raised to 270.

The reasons I would lead out on the flop are:

    - You flopped top pair and an OESD so there is a reasonable chance that your hand is best right now.
    - Because your hand is vulnerable to overcards coming, you don't actually mind winning the pot right now.
    - Leading out gives you the opportunity to shove over if somebody raises rather than having to decide whether to call if somebody shoves of you.
    - Keeps the pot smaller compared to C-Ring

@ fjuanl - interesting, that's roughly what I thought our equity would be, about 45%. That's why I'm bleh about calling the shove but more than happy to shove over a raise if we had led out in the first place (fold equity).

yup, that's standard for me. And your reasoning sounds good too.

    Fjuanl:

You have to include those hands that a donk sometimes calls with, the 6x (x=J-A) type hands, and non-two-overs type flush draws.
