    Default Spew with J9

Villain is a bit of a thinking player, and I played 2-3 tables with him earlier in the day, 3-betting him a lot. He did not play back at me much. Somehow I felt like he was playing back at me here, but then what? I'm a pussy most of the time, my guess is that I should raise more or just fold this crap at every street. I really don't know what to think of the turn actually.

Villain is 17/14/4, and he should have about the same stats on me.

    $0.25/$0.5 No Limit Holdem
    5 players
    Converted at weaktight.com

    Stacks:
    UTG IljaS89 ($63.10)
    CO HugovB ($95.50)
    BTN Hero ($48.50)
    SB Tryn2Survive ($50.35)
    BB KurtKing ($82.55)

    Pre-flop: ($0.75, 5 players) Hero is BTN
2 folds, Hero raises to $2, Tryn2Survive raises to $5.50, 1 fold, Hero calls $3.50

    Flop: ($11.50, 2 players)
    Tryn2Survive bets $8, Hero calls $8

    Turn: ($27.50, 2 players)
    Tryn2Survive checks, Hero bets $17, Tryn2Survive goes all-in $36.85, Hero goes all-in $18

Oppps, you ran into a hand. I think you're pretty much pot-stuck anyway.

I mean, calling the push is fine with odds, but is betting the turn in the first place any good? Boards not that wet, and we have TPWK.
Just dipping my toes back in.

I could go either way with 1.5x pot behind or so and enough equity to call a shove. If we're ahead there is value in protecting our hand. Also, not showing down has some value if he plays with this guy a lot.

Bottom line is that it looks like you had the wrong read in a spot where your read really needed to be spot on to make that pre-flop call. Also, if there is a spewy history between you, you should tend to tighten up as you will get action on your best hands.

Thanks. He had 99 so I actually won, but I dont think this is something I should do a lot.

This guy is a tight multitabling reg. He plays too many tables to play back at you. I think it's really fun 2.5xing every one of his cbets and watching him fold.
My sig is too much for you to handle.

you may want to reassess your opinion of villian.

I check back the turn with a high frequency here but that could easily be a leak.

everytime i 3-bet pre, lead a dry flop, and c/r the turn, my hand is bad. obvious leak, but i think its one a ton of players have.
i like it, do you think he has any reason to not go for 3 streets of value with a good hand? stack sizes make his c/r look super weak.
