JJ ranks No 4 and TT No 7 based on how much profit i won over my 160k hands in my DB. You could play these hands very aggressively in some spots but passively in other situations, depending on lots of things and game flow at the table. If some short stacks like 20BB shove over my 4x raise, i often call with JJ & TT. Sometimes you might even think about playing your whole stack preflop against some crazy maniacs in your games. |

I have a question about TT's and greater pp's (well actually 99's and greater). I used to slow play these in a hope of hitting a set but reading Harrington he made it clear that the standard approach is to raise to isolate. I've been doing that and tend to get 2/3 callers (I raise to about 10 bb's and find that clears all but 2/3 of the table) then after the flop if there's no higher card out I go all in and am usually called by whoever called my initial raise. |
