Default tough ak spot on k high flop

Learned anothe rlesson the hard way, think before i raise about what my options are after my opponent reacts. I assumed he would either call or fold for some reason and i think i do this a lot.

the turn raise by me was probably pretty bad, should have either called or shoved, but once he did the thing i least expected- a 3bet, i felt like i couldnt beat anything....?

Call dude, TPTK is very often the nuts at a $5.50 tourney.

BTW, I would probably have re-raised preflop (either shoved it right there or made it 500 to go and shove any flop).

Agreed. Reraise pre flop and call or push flop. Don't think I could lay this down.
It's not how many pots you win, it's what's in them that counts.

    Re-raise pre.

As played, I think you're either splitting or are smoked.

+1. This is an instant fold.

If this was just one person raising/pushing I'd say call like Tai but one of them is not joking around here and you are drawing very slim ( guy probably has KJ ). Prob been awhile since he's played this level though.

Hold on a second, did you read the HH properly? Opp led the flop, the second opp folded, Hero raised and the original flop better shoved over. Sure, he could have AA, KK, JJ, KJ or 99 but at this buyin they also show up with KQ, KT, QQ, TT, AQ/AJ, QT and even underpairs to the board.

The only time I'd fold this would be if opp was a solid winning regular and I had seen him take this weak lead/shove over line with a set or overpair previously.

Yeah I misread the HH...sorry. I thought he led out, got raised, then another re-raise. I apologize and I'll read more carefully next time =p. I like the HH converters that say "Hero" so I don't have to keep track of who is who. I call.

    just wondering..
if you RR the flop to say, 500, why do you shove any flop (especially this early in the game)?
i did not know this was the correct action and i would hope to be enlightened, haha
    THANKS!

I assume you meant if you re-raised PREflop to 500.

The reason is if you re-raise preflop to 500 and get called, the pot will be slightly larger than your remaining stack, so you have a pot-sized bet remaining. Obviously if you do not hit an A or K on the flop and opp bets first (since the two players in the pot will act ahead of you) then you should fold, but if opp calls your preflop re-raise then checks the flop you should shove.
