    Default Maximising winnings against drunks?

This morning I was playing at a micro cash table at Party. Most of the players were in Canada (different time zone) and a few must have been pretty wasted.

The were going AI a lot, and seemed to have the button checked to automatically rebuy to the max. They were also calling other AI bets preflop with pretty much any two cards.

In a situation like this how do you maximise their winnings?

What range of hands do you push with preflop given that you can expect a call from at least one of the players?

drunk people normally overvalue their hands and will be agressive with any decent hand they hold, they'll fall into the category of calling station or scared folder when they have nothing.

Drunk people are too wasted to bluff so they'll never bluff so if they bet, you better have the nuts to call

    (just what I've noticed)
My blog/operation where ill gladly discuss all my poker thoughts/hands etc, all welcome: http://www.flopturnriver.com/pokerfo...os-192003.html

I lol'd at this thinking of the Micro games some of the Gauntlet guys get into during the tourney's. They do the same sort of stuff, except they WILL bluff (and frequently at that).
Poker is easy, it's winning at poker that's hard.

Depends a lot on how much they care about money.

I personally seem to struggle on Friday and Saturday night games. I am not drinking myself, but I've been told that it is a great time to play because so many other people are drunk and playing foolishly. I disagree with this.

I think that all the action at the tables from drunk fools throws my game off because I have to change up my general strategy. I play multi table SnG's for the most part and am quite successful by playing tight early on and keeping my action limited to situations where I am in good position through out the game. When I play against drunk guys I basically have to change my strategy to push/fold the whole time and I feel like I am playing on the bubble the entire tourney.

I really don't think there is a proven strategy for playing against these people, so my personal suggestion is to stay clear of them and only play the other 5 nights a week (daytime is ok too) if you are a PT or FT player looking for less variance.
    Go muck yourself

My strategy for playing with drunks is simple. I try to avoid it. They seem to luck out, take my money and promptly give it to someone else.
