Default Hand at 5nl for analysis

Villain has been calling with top pair weak kicker quite frequently and showed down several weak hands. My only question is should I have raised the turn bet? Once the 4th heart hit he gave me right pot odds to call because I had so many outs. When I saw the river I almost put this in the bad beat forum.

I think you played it fine TBH.

BTW, this is not a bad beat. Not once were you ahead.

its unlucky but i fold to that turn bet, for players at this level that is a big bet and you still don't have a made hand

i'm grinding this level right now and i rarely play without a made hand after the turn comes out

you'd be missing out on implied odds value. assuming villain has a set, we still have a better hand by the river at least 1 in 5. So according to that, we only need to get in at least another $0.80.

    I lolled.

we have a FD a gutshot and 2 overcards. This is a big draw and we're getting >3:1. Easy call considering implied odds. Someone posted somewhere about there's no such thing as a made hand, download pokerstove or something.

I think you need to be shoving the river, that would have caused you to lose more in this particular instance but that is irrelevant. If he has shown down several weak hands then you hand is good enough to shove against his range.

ill apply that for next time

say you were getting like 2-2.5 to 1 would you still make the same play or just call?

This is exactly what I thought which is why I called. This player had made big bets with top pair and I had 17 outs to improve (which I did, he just improved more lol).

Plus, what is considered a "made hand"? If you had been sitting at the table for a while taking notes like I was a made hand to these guys was two pair. I had to go with my read thinking two pair or straight, both of which I was clearly ahead of.

you played it fine, the only lol moment in this hand is villain not raising the river.
"This sure beats Super Mario Bros.!" is my ejaculation catch phrase.
