So I was at the gym...

    Default So I was at the gym...

    No lukie story here. Just wanted to state that since moving to the city (Manhattan of course) in September, I finally joined a gym. Been going to NYSC twice a day, running 3 or 4 miles in morning before work and weights after work and I feel great. I really can't believe I went this long without regularly working out. Those of you who don't regularly work out, please consider doing so. I sleep better and feel about 50% better too.

    I agree too. Just 2 months ago I decided I needed to start exercising because I was going to be just sitting at home playing poker all day. I just jog and swim and it gives me a lot more energy every day.

    I need to start playing hockey again or something. I've been way too lazy the past year. I've shot from 170lbs to 205lbs. I don't look fat or anything but that sure as hell doesn't mean it's healthy.

    Also, when I used to work out regularily it's so true you need less sleep, it's really nice.

    im starting when i get my house, gym in the garage type thing.

    thought about a weights bench in the yard, conrete slab etc but g/f looked at me and went 'na bitch'

    You're gonna miss out on all the hot girls at the gym though. Probably one of the best parts of going to the gym for me, not gonna lie.

    I need to get going to the gym.
    I lost 20lbs in the hospital and through physical rehab, and was looking a lot better.

    Since being back at school I have gained it all back, and am using my leg as an excuse not to work out. I should be working out to rehab my leg and try to get back to normal and to get in shape but I cant motivate myself to go ever. I know I do feel better when I work out though.

    One of these days! I gotta keep a routine for a few weeks and just keep it up till it becomes a routine.

    Yeah seeing all the girls in skimpy clothes especially in the winter when they are all bundled up usually is a plus.

    I honestly don't like going to gyms when there's girls there. I like to struggle to absolute failure and I don't think dropping a dumbell on my face during my last "give 'er" set of shoulder presses looks all that cool.

    funny because I was going to make a thread about how I havn't worked out in about 2 months. I feel like complete shit and never have any energy. my daily sleep has shot from about 7 hours to 10 hours, and still, I feel very lethargic. I don't know how people DON'T lift, really mind boggling stuff.

    Yeah Ill go bike or something tomorrow. I get pissed because I feel like I can do anything at the gym, I can't run because of my leg(hopefully biking etc and I will be able to soon)

    But I can do benching or a lot of upper body stuff because I don't/won't ever have full extension on my right elbow.

    ugh doing anything is better than nothing tho, so no excuses tomorrow I will go.

    My best accomplishments have been at the shitty gyms. Rocky III style FTW!

    Honestly, I like the basic weight room by far over the nice gyms.

    by shitty gym i meant Gold's gym where everyone is strutting around in their workout unitards like its their shrine or something. I come walking in in hol-ey old basketball sneakers with long hair and they look at me like im some pinko threatening beloved senator mcarthy...

    cliff notes: i do not feel comfortable at gold's gym

    I havn't really done a workout for the past 13 or so weeks.
    I have lost at least 1 inch off of my arms. My watch that used to fit snugly can now fit two fingers. Freaking ridicurous. DAMN LAW SCHOOL.

    It really does help you feel much better about yourself. I used to work out regularly but haven't much in the lsat few months. I'm starting my routine again on Monday though.
