First problem is that you're posting three hands with no reads at all?

Other than that I'm pretty much calling down all these hands.

    Ditto. Bet Hand 3.

Your fear of the flush in H1 is unfounded. Everyone showed aggression pre and post flop. It suggests MP and Button already have made hands. I'd put MP on a set of 8s before a flush based on the flop call-raise but that's no sure thing. Call it down.

You mean I'm not supposed to post hands where I have no reads on the players? I'm sorry, I had no idea. Obviously I had no idea because I posted hands where I had no reads on the players.

I'm not suggesting I should be folding in hand 3. But isn't there an argument to be made to going for a check-raise? Someone cold-calls my raise and calls a flop bet, they may think they need to bet out an AQ/AT/flush draw.

I don't see a good reason for potentially giving the person a free card, no. Are you sure he'd bet?

It's not a question of what hands you post. it's a question of how much you are paying attenion to your opponents.

If ignoring previous hands is how you play, fine, or if you just sat down at three different tables and just picked up AA, fine.Hasn't happened to me in recent memory. Generally speaking, it helps us (and you) to know their tendencies.

Bear in mind that I have a very short history of hands to draw on in terms of my Poker Tracker database. And it may not be "just sat down" but it was certainly within the first 50-100 hands in each case, and none of the players have done anything extraordinary yet. So I guess I should say "they are playing typical" is what I know about them?

It's also sample bias through correlation too. We both agree that knowing how opponents play makes it easier to play a hand. That is, you will have less trouble deciding what to do. It stands to reason then that if you select a hand at random with "this hand gave me trouble" as a qualifier, it's more likely than normal that you will have less history on the players.

I'm not going to argue probabilities with you.Point is that you should pay attention to your opponents. If you have been paying attention and this is just an anomalous set of three AA hands then i apologize. Just seems very unlikely since AA hands come about 1/200 times, meaning three of them come against new opponents very rarely Could be statistical anomaly though so no offense.

It has nothing to do with statistical anomolies and has everything to do with that which you don't want to discuss. I'll just clarify in case someone else cares to, however: The odds of me getting pocket aces 3 consecutive times, all early on in sessions against relatively unremarkable opponents, is very unlikely. The odds of me getting pocket aces 22 times in 3,974 hands, and 4 of those 22 pocket aces being early on in sessions against opponents I have very little intel on, with three of them being substantially more problematic, that is much higher.

And yes, I understand that one should pay as much attention as possible to ones opponents, which is what you are emphasizing, so it's all good.

Mr. Nixon, I'm kinda a newbie here and likely no one knows me here, so take this with a grain of salt. I've read a few of your post and in everyone of them, you seem to get very defensive. You are asking questions and people are responding and you are getting pissed if you don't like what you hear. You are posting 3/6 hands and asking questions that sound more like .5/1 -1/2 questions, so people are confused. Just relax and embelish the endless amounts of free poker advice.
