Default TPGK against 50/4.4 villain... easy fold?

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (8 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver Cards)

    Hero ($25)
    UTG ($25.90)
    UTG+1 ($5)
    MP1 ($21.85)
    MP2 ($61.55)
    CO ($34.05)
    Button ($2.20)
    SB ($23.75)

Preflop: Hero is BB with , .
    UTG calls $0.25, 1 fold, MP1 calls $0.25, MP2 calls $0.25, 3 folds, Hero raises to $1, UTG folds, MP1 calls $0.75, MP2 calls $0.75.

    Flop: ($3.35) , , (3 players)
    Hero bets $2.5, MP1 calls $2.50, MP2 folds.

    Turn: ($8.35) (2 players)
    Hero bets $4, MP1 raises to $8, Hero ?

Villain is 50/4.4 over 350+ hands. (Though i had just sat down at this table so i hadn't seen what he shows down)
I had a slight thought process going, that was he was calling with a A and lower kicker (that he hit to get aces up), probably an 8? Or is he just a donkey?
I took the minraise as a plee for call for 2pair.
    Fold?

If you're going to raise preflop here, raise more after the limpers.

the size of the pfr is troubling, you ended up with an spr of 7, what was your plan for this hand? i would have raised $3 then been prepared to go all in if i hit. the larger spr gives the set collectors the odds to draw. it also allows weak aces to play, preflop mp2 had to put in .75 at more than 3:1 an easy call for loose player who fancies his ability post flop.
The turn bet looked like a second barrel or a continuation bet, villain may just have smelt weakness and raised a wide range of hands.

To OP, villain most likely has you beat here. Draws normally don't wait til the turn to raise, and this would just be a really strange play with a weaker pair or kicker.

the $3 raise ws refering to preflop, he limp called then attacked a cb? what range do you have him on.

i know. i think that is a bit much and so is getting all in on "any flop you hit."

no he limp/called, called the flop, and then minraised the turn...this is the definition of a hand that is better than one pair.
