Default AKo in the bb vs. supernit

    6-handed $50NL at stars. I have villains $59 covered.

one fold, one limp, one fold, button limps, sb(12/5/2/400 hands) raises to $3, I consider all of my options here really but really don't like calling or raising so naturally I call and one limper calls

    flop is AhQx5h
sb leads in the $9.xx pot for $7. what am I doing here? I had no plan for the rest of the hand when I called preflop and that is now my problem...Comments on preflop as well please. After the fact it seems like this is a fold preflop against such a nit raising in the worst position available.

You have position on the nit, hence I'm inclined to re-raise.

On second thought, I'd just dump this pre-flop.

I think a dump preflop is fine because you just don't want to get involved with a guy that is this nitty. Seriously 12/5/2 over 400 hands? nittttt

As played, i probably raise to 24 or so. That leaves you pot committed though which kind of sucks. I guess ideally he has kk here?

you are only behind AQ, AA and QQ realistically. Call. If he bets turn hard re-evaluate.

anyone dumping preflop is being silly. I ran 16/11 tonight and I often didn't have the goods... stats are not the end all.

I prob fold preflop but if I play I reraise pre & fold to 4 bet, if you just call 1/2 of the limpers might call & then you'll be oop & not sure what to do even if A hits.
With 2 limpers in this scenario nits range could still be 88+, KQs+ & he could actually fold alot if you 3bet since as you have 400 hands with him he will at least be aware that you know he has a very tight raising range so he will often put you on AA/KK if you 3 bet him & fold AK,AQ and on flop may even fold up to JJ even with no overcards to a c-bet.

stats arent the end all, but after 400 hands you can be quite sure of their stats and him raising in the sb shows more strength than a c/o or button raise. Anyhow I raised the flop to $19 and folded to a push.
