    Default Ongame Bad Beats

I play at pokerroom.com and am facing the worst bad beat streak ever, I play $100 NL mostly at the time because I cant play $400 NL with my bankroll now because I cashed out too much money and spent them

I am now back to $100 NL and have been playing 2 tables at a time, makes $18 an hour and have done that for 4 months boosting my bankroll so much up that I easy can play $200 NL.

But now what happens is that I for one and a half month now have been bad beated so much and hard that I dont know what to do anymore, no matter what I do, I just get a bad beat at the river card or some low stack with a $30 stack that push with toppair and I call with an overpair and get beat to him hitting a 3rd J or something.
I dont know what happens, just bad beat after bad beat. This have costed me $1500 so far and its increasing fast. I dont know what to do, its only at pokerroom this happens, I play at pokerstars too and win there so I know its not me that is on tilt, anyone tried the same? I am really beginning to get into the rigged thought again even I cant see a reason they should be. Its not even the money I have lost that I suffers so much about because when I played $400 NL a $1500 swing was normally for a week, its the fact that I lose 15 buyins with about 60 losing sessions and only 5-8 small winning sessions, all happened in about 20K hands.

How terrible can a bad streak really be?

I have been playing for more than 3 years and never suffered more than about 8 buyins in cash games and about 30 buyins in SnGs.

My downswing lasts (including some small upward movements) for 14 buy-ins. I have heard others experiencing even 30 buy-in downswings.

Im in a bit if a bad beat streak myself. What can u do but just drive through? I noticed that when i lose a big pot on a bad beat I usually have a shitty session. Try ending your session when you lose a big pot on a suckout so that your not playing to win back the money that you lost. It wont help the suckouts, but it well help the spewage. Also if you want to rebuild your roll a little, try 4 tabling nl 50 or 8 tabling nl 25 instead of two tabling nl 100.
Me? I always tell the truth.

    Even when I lie.

I find the players are worse at 100NL than 50NL on that site. I've gone through a bad streak for nearly a month there. Not losing a whole lot of money or anything but I'm not making as much as I know I should be. For the past week I've actually been dicking around at 50NL just to get my game back. For some reason when I don't do well I need to do this to re-calibrate my play so I get the fear of bad beats out.

Anyway, the reason this seems to happen a lot is because the players are so bad they are often calling you right to the river with crap. This gives them that extra card to suck out with where most opponents with half a mind fold on the turn at least. Plus 100NL is full of $30 stacks, there's only like one other full stack on average at the SH tables with you.

But, when things do swing your way is it REALLY good.

Thanks for the replies, I usually also stop playing when I lose a buyin and have always done that even some people says its one long session I still believe I get forced more back at my raises when I lose at the tables which makes me lose even more because the variance gets bigger with the small hands and big pots that im forced to play when they only agress at me because im losing.

izybx I would never consider moving down, I have been a winner for 6,5 BB hour at $400 NL tables playing 2 tables (I never play more than 2 tables anymore because I didnt enjoy the game when I played 4-6 tables) and therefore moving down to $25 NL winning less than 1 BB at $400NL would kill my mind, at that level I got too little respect for the money that I start playing like an idiot with a flop procent more than 50% last time.

if you cant respect the money you need to work on discipline.

Otherwise, you are running bad and need to take a break or move sites for a bit till your confidence comes back.
