    Default pp

didnt no the best place to put this, but i struggle to play pp's , especially lower ones such as 55/66/77...

any tips or advice on how to play them preflop, ive read some articles on it but on a 0.10/0.25 10NL i tend to perhaps overbid and all fold or underplay and somehits a random higher pair.

Depends on your position, opp stack sizes and such.

Basically at lower stakes (such as 25NL) you are looking to set it or forget it until your poker game progresses. You have roughly a 1 in 9 chance of flopping a set. So if you think you can get the guy to stack off and you have the odds to try then you call.

Say you and opp both have $25. He's aggressive. He raises to $1 and you call. This is good since he has lots behind. However if he has $5 to start with and raises to $1, you don't have the odds to chase and should fold.

aah ok, probably where my prob lies, working out the opposition.

normally out of position i will put in a small raise ($0.50-1), if its called an it flops nothing i will put in the same bet, if im then reraised by say 2x i will tend to fold..

not sure if this is the best way.

I set farm with middle/low PP at 10NL fullring. As described by Ahiltz, the basic formula is limping or calling raises as long as the opponent(s) have a stack that is 15*(the amount I have to call). This assumes every time you hit the set you will double up off the opponent, which generally holds true at the fishy tables. Short of that you fold the flop unless you have an overpair, in which case you should probably play it.

    FR or 6max

FR = limp/call (10:1 odds) then set it or forget it
6max = Raise every pair every position first in... then cbet call if geting 10:1... attack weakness in position

    hmm.... in a nutshell
Success is how high you bounce after hitting bottom.
