    Default NL 50 AK Hand

Still getting used to the raise/reraise style instead of being my old self and folding preflop.

I know AA is certainly a possibility here. The flop missed all likely higher PPs and a flush draw could be a possibility with something like AQs. First time I'd played with the villian. Bad play?

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (7 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

    MP2 ($27.70)
    Hero ($54.80)

In general, if i'm in a re-raised pot with AK and hit my ace i have no problem getting it all in.

you lose to AA, so it's a clear fold.
    wtf man i can't see a fold.

Shorty + TPTK (AK) + pretty much only one hand beats you = all your money.

Thanks for the replies (Sarcastic and otherwise). Still learning.

Thats a good play I would not hesitate for a splite second. The only hands that beat you are 2 pairs and sets and I do not think anyone would be playing those pocket cards in a reraised pot. The limp-call of the button is interesting though.

I have seen you on poker stars every so often. Good luck to you.
Flopping quads and boats like its my job

Assume the villian has a full stack. What do you guys think of 3 betting preflop to see what the villain does?
If you put in a good sized 3 bet from his $5 reraise to make it $15 to go, that would rep AA KK and put his TT-QQ and AK-Q back on the defensive and would almost surely get a push from AA or KK. This would have made me be able to get away for only $15 instead of a full stack.

This looks an awful lot like 55 / 33 / AA but I dunno if I can fold.

The flop minbet/minreraise is rather telling. Xpart play.

This hand disturbs me. Is the push over on the flop really necessary? His range is what, AQ/AK/JJ+ the vast majority of the time. Except for the rare AQspades (1 hand out of about 60), you are WA/WB. Oh I think I got it. There are only 2 aces left. So you are actually almost never behind here...

I think you are pushing here to rep the flush draw, now I am no longer disturbed (by this hand)

    What was the outcome?

why on earth would KK-TT bet like that on the flop? you are SA/WB here. i'd put him on AA or AQs with AA being more likely. i don't like getting all in here. also, your raise on the flop is really weak. i'm also wondering if the general consensus these days is to continue with the hand once you are 3bet preflop by an unknown in a usually pretty nitty game (PS 50NL). i almost always fold pf here after the re-raise...thoughts?
