Default Stars 50NL a few hands

Sorry hand converter is AWOL .....

    Hand 1 -

My read on villan was he was quite solid because I remember my ears pricked up when he called the flop re-raise and I lost heart when he threw out a puny 'please raise me' bet on the turn. I just called hoping to spike an A on the river or show down cheaply.

Pre flop hes calling raises OOP with AK etc. and pockets, this is how he plays his set no??

Or are we ALL IN ALL DAY on the turn??????

    Hand 2-

My turn to be OOP in a hand that gets very messy. The way the table had been going the PF bet would normally have got me heads up. As turned out I was left looking over at a couple of shorties and 1 guy with a few chips.

The plan on flop was to bet enough so I could get away from the bigger stack and get it AI heads up with a shorty if poss. I think this is a better line than checking? Bet more PF or just call and look for a monster?

Just felt a little lost when flop was dealt....

2nd one is fine, i would raise the turn on the first one hoping he has a king or a flush draw

Hand 1: Shove the turn, you're almost always good here.
Hand 2: Standard gambling with the short-buy. I regularly gamble with worse hands than TPTK J w/ back-door nut frush draw.

hand one you have to raise that turn, i kind of like 27, or i guess a push is good.

    hand 2 is standard.

Thanks for the replies. Thats pretty much what I thought about hand 1 when looking back through the hands myself.

I've just lost a few big pairs recently and I probably have set-fear when the hand goes beyond the turn!

Good to know two is standard, I've only ever played 6-max and get shakey when there are more than 3 seeing a flop.

hand 1: i probably raise the turn if only to see him RR me back. but the way it was played, i like the fold on the river. i have, however, seen a lot of donkeys let their bets get smaller as the hand progresses ui ( i am still leary), but that is why i have to raise the stupid $3 bet there. when i dont raise, i am usually amazed when i call to the river and win.

hand 2: i may even overbet the pot a touch just to let anybody know that if they try to draw against me and the shorty, i will keep slamming them for trying. i am happy to win right here on the flop. AJ (w/ the J and no draw) is just too vulnerable against 4 in a hand.
LHE is a game where your skill keeps you breakeven until you hit your rush of random BS.

Nothing beats flopping quads while dropping a duece!
