    Default Overplaying My Pocket Jacks?

    Both players have VP$IP > 50%.

A PSB here would leave me with $30...so I cant do that.....Is this push standard, or am I overplaying my jacks? Do I just call from the BB here, or is my raise good?

i agree with ISF, there isnt really a reason to bet more than 40-45 on this flop

i dont mind it.. a lesser overpair or 2 unpaired overs might call.

That would be a disgusting call. Agreed about the lesser overpair though.
I'd just bet 45 to max value, in the longterm I think this is +ev. All in would chase away ppl over which you're wayyy ahead.

Its good to commit yourself here without pushing. Bet 50 and call the rest. QQ is your biggest fear. I doubt they'd cold-call such a big raise with AA-KK instead of just pushing in a multi-way pot.

but when you bet 40 and they call and a K rolls off the turn it confuses everything

I doubt a king or even an ace are going to hit often enough on that one street to make up for the loose action a smaller bet will get. Even if it does, its not going to improve many hands that we were previously beating. No matter what, a $50 bet is committing. Only difference is it looks a little better to villain than pushing.

Yeah that is what I was afraid of, so that's why I just pushed. Also, I have been running bad lately, getting sucked out on in every large pot, so I just said eff it Im pushing this.

But next time I think I will just bet around $50 to commit myself and hope I dont get sucked out on....that would definitely make more money in the long run because pushing here probably causes mid PP's to fold, but $50 bet might get called by a mid pair...especially from a fish.

BTW they both folded after a looong pause.
