A Very very basic hand

This is my 3rd hand at the table and I've never seen the sb before. Should I be raising this flop? With a 2 broadway flop I think it's going to be hard to get him to fold and he is a shortstack. Should I be happy getting AI here with very little FE or just call getting attractive odds? If he bets $9 on the flop instead should I push/call/fold? I'm very lost in these basic situations for the nfd. I think I undervalue it .

I raise those type of bets a lot, probably more than I should, simply because they are so often just a bluff. On a broadway board like this there is more likelihood that they may have a real hand, but even still I raise here. I probably make it like $12 or so given stacks and fold to a push but will get it AI on any diamond [obviously] or Ace turn. If he makes a bigger bet its a tough play, I dont think pushing would be bad, but neither would calling. I also could be way off here and with the way my game is going now, I wouldnt be surprised, so Id definitely like to see what others have to say.

With full effective stacks, I raise him to $12-16 here to build the pot and try to buy a free river card. Against this shortie, any meaningful raise he calls means he's putting the rest in anyway, so just shove when you have maximum FE. It's called beating up on shorties.

Unless I'm doing something wrong, you have to call $24 to win $61 so this is actually an easy call of a push which I think is why I'm convinced by Warpe we should push ourselves.

Why would you ever bet this turn against a $24 stack? You're always getting called if he calls the flop.

Yea, you are right, I didnt do the math out. So to everybody saying dont fold to a push, you are right. Thats why I said Id like to hear what other people have to say.

Regardless though, is pushing here really the best play? We have a ton of FE, I agree, but it just seems like a huge overbet. What other hands do you actually play like that?

i would do what fnord said, just shove. shoving has the max folding equity.

yes but a strong raise, like $18, gives us just as much fold equity (probably) and a free card if he doesn't fold. You are going too see the turn and the river both ways.

If someone can argue against this point i'd be amazed. I AM GOD.
