Default Starting to Bet Online. . .

I'm trying to get real money chips onto my PokerStars account but I can't use any of their available methods. I have a PayPal account with enough money and I heard you could buy real chips on eBay, but I can't find anything

Also, my friend told me he entered a tournament for free and ended up winning real money. He then played for money using his winnings. How do you find a tournmanet that pays you even without any buy in?

to deposit money at pokerstars you can use neteller, firepay or your credit card. or debit card i think. go to the help section on pokerstars to find out how to deposit.

the chips you buy on ebay are to play at home. not on the net.

all poker sites have freeroll tournaments. they usually have hundreds of people playing in them and the prize is money is quite small. you'll be playing for hours and you'll make about $50 at most usually if you win it - which is very, very difficult - you need loads of luck to win it.

sometimes you need to play for real money to unlock the money you win in the freeroll

most credit cards don't work. My debit card still did a couple years ago. try those first, then do neteller. Neteller was a little intimidating to me when I first looked it it but it is much easier once you start wanting to play multiple sites.

Neteller is definaltey the way to go. I did mine with just a checkings account. It takes about 5 days to get your initial deposit from your local bank onto neteller (instantly, but that costs you 8%, thats -EV). But after that, you can use instacash to fund poker sites, and they will pay the 8% for you, and you get your money instantly.

If you are british or European then all credit cards will work.
