My comments: OK. I can't bluff, I can't avoid slowplay... how the FUCK do you FUCKING avoid these things?

I'll tell you how: fold preflop. Easy as that. AT is bad in EP. It's bad at a full table with low blinds early in a tournament when you don't have any reads. FOLD FOLD FOLD FOLD.

As played (with a raise preflop), a bet on the flop would have told you where you stood in the hand (and then you could have given up after he called or raised). Why did you call the turn????

10) Raise to 80 preflop. Why the big raise?

That was AWFUL. You failed in these hands because you played terrible poker. Forgive the bluntness but your wounded tone makes it clear that you haven't a clue why these moves were ALL BAD.

Calm down a bit. You're railing against the poker gods when, for once, it wasn't their fault. Read Courtie's comments - she's nicer than me - and then read the rest of FTR because you have a LOT to learn.

first off, welcome.

second, these hands were all grossly overplayed. Fold AT in early position. courtibee summed it up well.

as for the other hands. why are you raising 15xBB. there is no reason to. raise it up 3-5xBB, and you will be in much better position. the AA hand will almost always get atleast 1 caller, and then you can coax more money into the pot on later streets.

hand 3, QTo, either limp after the limper, or fold preflop. if you must raise, just raise it to 80-100 chips, this hand plays much better. in this case when villain checks the flop, you can put out a standard continuation bet of 2/3-3/4 the pot, and either take it down there, or if he calls, you can check through or fold on the turn.

read up and keep playing and you will only get better.

Another suggestion - Go get some poker books to get a better understanding of starting hands, betting strategies, etc. I would recommend Harrington on Holdem Vol's I and II as they are well written and easy for a novice to follow.

Your not going to get action raising 15x BB that early on.
Do you always play aces that hard? IMHO, a big raise like that suggests that you are afraid of being cracked. I like to do standard raises (3x, 4x BB) early in Sng's like that. Varying raises can develop into tells.


Hand 3: WHOA hehehe (it's ok, I was there before too)
mistake #1 Q-10 in EP = fold.
mistake #2 leading out in a 3 way pot when 2 people have called 15x raises on a flop with 3 clubs when you have none.
mistake #3: Stack sizes. Scott has got you covered nearly 6:1. He is calling you with any piece of that. Not a good situation for a stone cold bluff.
