    Default Bonus Whoring

Ok, I've seen this phrase all over the site and I have a general idea of what it means. However, I have no idea how to go about doing it. Is there a thread I could be directed towards or could anyone please explain. It is obviously worth talking about since it is pure profit. Could someone please explain....

Same here. I have a general idea but I'm not 100% of the process. I think it might have to do with moving portions of a bankroll from one poker site to another in order to "whore" the bonuses off another poker site.

Well, you have a great idea of what it is. A true whore is usually using Neteller to use the money from site to site.

bonus whores are those of us who find poker sites that have either sign up bonuses or reload bonuses and basically we go claim them, cler the requirements and move onto the next bonus unlike other players who will grind away at ring games or sngs on just one site.

The golden era of bonus whoring is porbably past, but there are still plenty of oppertunities to build a safe bankroll from bonus whoring. You'll find it recommended around FTR as the quickest way to build a br from $500~ to 2-5k if you are a competent cash game player.

A follow-up question: If you have a BR between $300-500 total (from all poker sites registered at) and you're doing the whoring thing...would you guys recommend keeping about $50 bucks minimum at each site or should you just withdraw the whole amount and move on to the next whoring opportunity (since the BR is still somewhat limited)?

Would you keep a minimum amount at each site just to keep it active or just for reload purposes? Thanks

keep the $300 - $500 all together, when you move the money into a new site for the sign-up/first-deposit bonus, you can collect the full bonus.

sign-up/first-deposit bonuses are one time only, don't just open an account with $100 and get part of the bonus. take advantage of the full bonus amount

there will be down time til your br gets larger, this is when you have to wait for the site to release the bonus and credit your netteller acount

    good luck

I found this bonus chasing strategy and i plan on doing it when i start real money poker. Right now i just set up my neteller account and waiting for the funds to go through but i've been reading how to play, how to flop, 19 hands etc...i've read a lot of the strategys on this board and the articles on position etc as well as numerous threads so i feel i'm ready to get into money poker. So anyways here is what i plan to do when i start playing online poker next week (also i found this strategy on another website)

    BONUS CHASING

The problem that many new places face when they enter the world of online poker is not having the proper bankroll to play at the level they would like to play at. It is suggested that you have a minimum of 250 BB (Big Bets) to play at a certain level limit poker game, and 500 BB (Big Blinds) to play at a certain level No-Limit/Pot-Limit poker game. This would mean that to play .5/$1 you should have $250.00 and to play .50/$1 NL/PL you need $500.00.

If you are like me, and a lot of other poker players out there, you do not feel like having to put up all the money needed to play at these limits online and would rather have as little at risk as possible. Using this guide we can help you turn a minimum of $100 into $2000+. Please note that I did say a minimum of $100 as anything less then that could be suicide. It is suggested that you start with at least $200.00 to chase these bonuses. You may always withdraw your initial $200.00 after the first few bonuses clear. It can take you anywhere between 2 months to 6 months to clear all of the bonuses in this guide depending on the amount of time you can dedicate to working off your raked hands.

The first thing you should do is open a Neteller or Firepay (for Maryland) Account. Just about every online site allows deposits to both of these methods. Once you open an account you should fund your account with. If you already have funds at an online poker room it is suggested that you withdraw funds from these sites to try and build up the $200+ you need to chase bonuses.

Now that you have the funds in your account you are ready to deposit at your first site. The first stop on our bonus train is The Gaming Club. They are a part of the Prima Network of sites and are currently offering $300 for a minimum deposit of $20.00. I would suggest depositing the full bankroll of $200+ in case you hit a bad run of cards. You earn your bonus by earning BRPs at a rate of $20.00 per 300 BRPs. You should be able to comfortably play the .5/$1 limit tables with your $200+ bankroll to clear this bonus. If you are comfortable playing multiple tables then you can play 2-3 tables at once and clear the bonus faster. It is suggested that due to the way BRPs are obtained you clear $100.00 in bonuses with this deposit, then withdraw and do the same thing for the next two sites. Please note that BRP totals are calculated and credited overnight (not real time) as well as bonus amounts being credited to you.

After you have cleared $100 in bonuses from The Gaming Club you should do the same thing with River Belle Poker and Lucky Nugget Poker. Depending on your success and your starting balance you should have between a $300 - $600 bankroll now.

Your next stop is Interpoker where you need to deposit a minimum of $100 and play 800 raked hands to acquire your bonus ($90.00) which you should be able to do in a few short hours (if playing multiple tables). I do suggest that you deposit at least $300 of your roll to chase this bonus and ensure you can survive any swings that may happen. Please note that cashouts could take a few days on this site so you should not deposit your entire roll into this site. I would deposit about half of it, withdraw, and then go on to the next step.

Your next stop is Poker Plex where you need to play 300 raked hands for a bonus of $50.00. I would deposit $200 - $250 to chase this bonus and you should be able to clear it within a few hours. Just like the last site cashouts will probably take about 3-4 days.

We should have obtained $450 in bonus money alone at this point and should have a balance between $400-$700. The next place to make a deposit would be True Poker. The first time deposit bonus is 30% up to $100.00 max. You will need to deposit $350.00 to obtain your full $100.00 bonus, however I suggest depositing $400 - $500 since the minimum stake you can play is 1/2 limit. (Note we do not have an affiliate code for true poker, so feel free to use someone else or just go to the site directly).

Your next stop should be Absolute Poker using bonus code OFFTOPIC where you can enjoy a 100% bonus up to $300. You clear the bonus at $10.00 per 100 AP. It is suggested you deposit a minimum of $500 to $800 and play multiple tables of 1/2 or 2/4 to quickly clear this bonus.

Depending on how well you did at AP you should have about a $700 - $1300 roll by now and ready to chase another great bonus. Your next stop is Poker Room where you can enjoy a 40% deposit bonus up to $200.00. I suggest depositing $500 - $600 and playing multiple tables to quickly clear your bonus.

Your next stop should be to head on over to Pacific Poker where you can get a 25% deposit bonus up to $100.00.

At this point your bankroll should be around $800 - $1700 and you are ready to make the move to Ultimate Bet where you can get a 100% deposit bonus up to $500.00. Once again I suggest depositing at least $800 - $1000 and playing multiple tables so that you can quickly clear your bonus. Please note that the bonuses on UB will probably take longer to clear then most other sites, but the selection of games and poor players more then makes up for it.

At this point you should have a bankroll of $1000 - $2000 and ready to make a deposit at Party Poker. You only get a 20% bonus up to $100.00. I suggest depositing $500 to $700 to clear your bonus.

Now that you should have a nice bankroll from all of your bonus chasing its time to choose the site you liked the best and start playing. You can also make use of monthly $50 bonuses on interpoker and at least 5 redeposit bonuses per month at Absolute Poker.

Im not going to lie bait, but that strategy kinda sucks, the first bonus clears incredibly slow:
    http://www.bonuswhores.com/gaming-club.php

Riverbelle also clears at the same gruelingly slow pace, lucky nugget Im not sure about.

The interpoker bonus is definitely a good one as is the pokerplex bonus.

Truepoker is about average, and absolute is below average and pacific is worse than absolute, worse yet is Ultimate Bet.

A lot of this advice seems backwards to me, when you should out you should do the fastest clearing bonuses, the 5x ones or the bonuses at party. Once you have done the easy ones you should be able to improve your skill to get to higher levels that allow you to clear the slower bonuses much quicker.

If you are new to bonus whoring, go to bonuswhores.com and find the ones that clear fastest at your current stakes and play those. They have a basic guide for starting out, follow that if you dont want to do your own research, its pretty good.

Like i said i just found it and thought it looked good...apparently i was wrong

But thank you for explaining why it wasn't a good strategy and the way you explained it made sense: the better you are the higher limits you can play, which gives you more points per game so it doesnt take as long, correct?

And i'll definately be checking out bonuswhores.com

do bonuses like this one take a ridiculous amount of time to clear? or are they extremely hard to clear at low limits (like 25NL)

    Hollywood Poker 15x Sign-Up Bonus

    500% up to $1,000 ($200 deposit required)
    Use bonus code BONUS1000
Must earn 15 player points for each $1 in bonus money
    Bonus expires after 60 days
Depositing for the maximum bonus amount and clearing the bonus before it expires will earn players a free Apple iPod Nano, valued at $179.
    Liter of cola.

At Hollywood, I find the lower bonuses (e.g. $75 - $100) will clear within your alloted time IF .... you play high enough stakes. For me, that is $25NL and 3 tabling ... playing about 3 hours per day on average. If you go for the higher bonuses, you need to be playing higher stakes and/or more tables.

I looked at this one too, but the 5x 100% up to $200 on bonuswhores.com seems much better. I forget exactly, but 15x and the way points are acccumulated (I think .7 per $1 in rake?) make this ridiculously long to clear despite the enticingness of 500%.

I think I've posted this before, but the Interpoker bonus - a deposit bonus which gives you $100 a month for a deposit of $100 - can be cleared in roughly 4,000 hands of $25NL and obviously a lot fewer at higher levels. You can also get 32% rakeback - PM me if you're interested (sorry if this seems like spam but I've been playing their since November and, through rakeback, bonuses and freeroll wins (in tourneys organised by the rb provider) I'm up well over $1,000 before factoring in actual winnings at the tables).

I believe it is recomended to have 20-3o buy ins for NL. On most sites the buy in is 100BBs so you would need 2000-3000 Big blinds to play...not 500.

does anyone else not see the most important thing in this post? Bigspenda, youre saying you havent ever played real money poker online, and youre going to jump into bonus whoring right away? If i were you i would find a nice fishy site like party, deposit all your $$ there, and try out whatever bonus they are offering now. i can see this going to the shitter if you dep. your money and jump into $100 NL like the post suggests you do. It is extremly hard to clear bonuses at $25 NL, and that may even be out of your BR if you have never played online before.
eeevees are not monies yet...they are like baby monies.

No, I have played online before and always play NL. I am now going to try limit as I believe I am better at it. I had read about building one's bankroll around these bonuses and just wanted some direction in how to do it. Everyone's advice has been helpful and I believe it is possible to build a substantial roll if I multi table big time.

    Thanks for the advice

Ive made at least 10k bonus whoring, shame it isnt all in my roll anymore

I completed my first whoring assignment a couple of days ago. It was the paradise poker $50 bonus for a $200 deposit. For any beginners interested, it took me about two days to do it at 50NL. After the two days, I accumulated a modest profit plus the $50. Whoring is allll-right.

One thing I did realize....I've become pretty reliant on pokeroffice. I ASSumed paradise would be supported by pokeroffice since it is such a large poker room. Needless to say, it took me a while to learn how to play the "old fashion" way again, but once I did, I managed to turn a profit. So, any whore beginners out there with pokeroffice, realize that you may have to go commando for some of the whoring opportunities.

There is nothing different between playing for a bonus and not playing for one unless you change your game for it. If you are playing microstakes you should always be playing for a bonus, there is no reason not to and you are essentially giving up money by not doing it. All sites are fishy in the microstakes, play the ones that have the best bonuses.

There is a better bonus at paradise, $100 bonus for a $400 deposit and something from PSO as well. When bonus whoring make sure you are getting the best offer.

Wow that's terrible. Unless it's based on buyin in for the minimum... or something.
