What software is needed to log hand histories for ring?

What programs (free or not) are the best for keeping track of your poker status for nl ring. I have never used any kind of program before that tracks my play, so any instructions/tips on its use would be helpful too. Ty.

Poker Tracker. Or Pokeroffice. I think they cost about $50, but if you search around, you should be able to get one for free by signing up to a poker site and bashing out some hands.
