    Default 77 call-down against a donkey.

Villian in this hand is a donkey. In a previous hand I raised pf with 44, and he called. On a 955 flop i c-bet, he minraised, and I called. Turn was an ace and I check/folded. Kind of stupid play by me, but whatever.

Now about 20 minutes later. In general, I tend to give a lot more respect and play more cautiously against good players when they take this line against me (lead, lead, lead), but coming from a donk, it really seems like he doesn't have a hand and is trying to pull a desperation bluff. I just don't think he would play a big hands this way. Thoughts?

Heh, your own analysis is pretty much what I think of such a situation. In practice though, I end up losing to the donk too because he has some weird hand that beats mine. But I figure I can never really beforehand so I have to call it down..

Ballsy calls like this are entirely read dependent and situational. Big river bet does seem like an angry/desperation bluff. However,

I think I would take Villain's line with a monster, if I pegged my opponent on an overpair and thought I'd get paid.

Borderline situation, but I definitely will call down certain players in spots like this. So yeah, good stuff.
