    Default Jiggus' PT Stats

    As requested in another post.

Just using $10 NL stats. I think these stats look reasonable, and certainly not much different than my $2 days. But then again, what do I know? My BB/100 has plumetted from over 14 to the pathetic number you see before you. It took 10,000 hands to drop and shows now signs of pulling up.

    Hands: 25,125
    VPIP: 14.11
    Won$ WSF: 22.05%
    BB/100 5.78
    Won $ at SD: 59.62%
    PF Raise: 2.83%

Well, I played a tad tighter at $2 NL and maintained over 12 BB/100 after 17,000 hands.

More experienced people let me know if I am wrong here, but it seems that playing that tight preflop you ought to have a higher W$WSF? Maybe folding a little too much postflop or not being aggressive enough?

how many pots are you entering not as the pfr'er and are you stealing any pots in lp when it seems everyone else missed?
    Thats just out of curiosity

Those stats look fine if you are playing full ring, i wouldnt increase the pfr or VPIP in lp until you are confident enough on how to play such hands against opponents. To be honest you dont need to play hands like 98s either or Axs for that matter, although it might be worth it if the table is passive/loose

Have you tried 6max games yet?

PFR is low, your VP$IP works fine for full ring. I don't know how those 10NL games play, but I'm guessing that there is a lot of room for improvement regarding winrate.

    My analysis:

You play very tight, basically nutcamping. No problem there, although it isn't optimal but it should definately be able to net you over 10BB/100. The likely problem is that you can't let go of your hands when you are beat. Since you play so few hands, you're probably expecting to win every pot you enter? So you will call down your opponents' aggression with a second best hand, maximizing your losses, and not betting your own winners aggressively enough - maybe out of fear that everyone will fold when that odd occurrence happens that you have a winner? Hence you end up maximizing losses and minimizing profit. I can't see any other way how your BB/100 can drop when you play this tight..

    OK, guys, thanks.

Yeah, that's the thing. I don't believe I've changed anything in the way I play, at least not for long and yet I'm in a horrid downswing. I definitely was flirting with tilt about 8000 hands ago, but I've been very much under control for the last few thousand hands.

I'm posting in order to generate some dialogue and thereby a sort of therapy to help me see if I'm omitting something.

Oh, one thing, I am trying to steal a bit now. I never really did that at all before.

Miffed, I haven't tried 5 max (that's what they have a Paradise), but I don't really see the advantages. What are they?

And yes, I play full ring exclusively.

I think you need to get your PFR to at least 5%. This means raising, approximately, TT-AA, AK, AQ and maybe AJ/KQ (in position). This isn't a lot to ask.

To me it looks like you're too timid. On the flop, do you only ever bet when you have TP or better? Do you bet draws, 2nd pair ever? Do you ever re-raise?

At 10NL you are probably seeing quite a lot of pots where 6 or 7 people limp. Make sure you play your drawing hands when you can, suited and unsuited connectors etc. Easy to get away from, hugely profitable if you make your straight.

Miffed, Biondino, see my longer reply in the hand history thread of mine, if you're interested.

I believe we've found the weak point: betting amounts.

And I have been starting to bet more since I started reading the Phil Gordon book. Table styles have changed since I've changed my playing times and counterplay is NOT working, it seems.

I'm excited by this discovery. It's really the whole point of FTR.

Thanks to you all. Time will tell if this is really the problem. I'll let you all know in one week or so.

I think something that people have overlooked [i only skimmed the thread, so somebody could have mentioned it] is your relatively high W$@SD stat. That leads me to believe you are folding too many hands that are winners when you meet some aggression on the river. You do need to be raising more preflop, but that isnt a big difference really, and itll come.

That's fascinating. How do you figure that? I believe that you are correct. This stat is even higher at $10 than it was at $2 which I thought was a bit odd, though I only thought it gave away that I was harvesting nuts.
