    Default Stars or Party?

Well made the decision and pulled my BR out of Absolute due to the number of gimps buying in for min at $25 and $50 limits so now the choice is between Party (since I've already whored them) and Stars (as they have no bonus). Therefore I am now after any opinions on which to go fo out of the two, or if they are pretty much the same.

Mainly looking at the fact there are no bonuses at either at this stage as I get too focused on clearing the bonus and playing things like 1/2 limit that I suck at, then getting frustrated and losing conifidence in my play because I hit a downswing. I'd rather build my BR up to where those limits aren't a stress while learning limit vs NL before going after more bonuses.

Your choice man. Stars has got a nasty UI and a lot of people buyin for the min there too. Party is full of fish, but they have a lot of players, so it's a good hunting ground if you fancy beiong a shark for a bit!

I know people that play both and have sucked out a few times with donks pushing with crap like 57o and then catching the flop, but it really is a coinflip.

I'd go for Party because the UI doesn't make me want to hurt the designer though!

I picked coinflip because they both suck. No bonus and both UI's suck. Party's rake for S&G's is rediculous and the players at stars are TIGHT. Both sights have too many buying in for minimum. I think there are many better options with and without bonuses to choose from. I think it matters what you are looking for to choose the next sight.

Party's rake is only ridiculous at the $5 level. Stars big disadvantage is that with 9-man tables, payouts are less, and assuming you're a better-than-average player at your stakes, odss say that more often than not this missing 10th man would be a donk.

Funny how Stars is tight, because really, it should be slightly looser 9-handed than 10-handed.

well I'm trying to settle into one game at the moment and have set my goals to work up the limits in NL, trying to take current BR from $1600 to $2k at $25NL then up to $5k at $50NL, etc.

Started off playing SnG's and still do ok at them at $10+1 at Absolute, like to use them when I'm feeling down about my ring play to try and rebuild my confidence, but they aren't a prime focus for what I'm after.

MTT's that are on fridays and saturdays are a decent factor in choice as well as they are the only days I can really play big MTT's as they are saturday and sunday here, but again with looking at good BR management most of the big MTT's I try to satelitte into anyway, so again not a major factor at my level.

Limit, I currently suck at and is the biggest hit to my confidence so I am trying to stay far away from it at the moment.

The main reason I put down Stars and Party are that I'm trying to avoid some of the other sites such as Full Tilt, Titan, Noble, etc that have good sign-up bonuses to keep them for extra's when I hit the $100NL level and can then look at clearing them at a decent rate as opposed to the $25NL rate.

Having said that, I'm not locked into either choice still and am more than willing to listen to good advice and suggestions.

    [EDIT]
Only other thing I can think of at this stage is they have to accept Neteller and not be in euro's

What site should a 5NL or 10NL player be on? I was on Party, but got kicked to the 25NL and I was not ready for that skill-wise or bankroll-wise. I am now on Stars, and am enjoying it. But from reading these responses, maybe I should look into switching sites.

Stars may be the best place to build up at those levels. But have a look at http://www.pokersyndicate.com - it's a Boss Network site with 50% of rake paid back in the form of equity, and it has decent 5max and 10max $10NL tables.

    either
bonus whore other networks, in which case you need to learn where the bonuses are
    or
party for ring (just full of fish everywhere)
stars for sngs/mtts (just too many to miss up)

Party has tons of reload bonuses and even more if you are a VIP member and the rake is only different at the lowest buyin and HU SNGs.

Without a doubt party is best for ring games, and when you get to higher buyin SNGs I think it still is best because there are just so many more going at once. For MTTs stars is best with their gaurantees and 180-man SNGs, but I think other than that party is much better [disregarding support, etc.].

    Thanks for the opinions guys.

Have deposited back into party atm and will see how that goes, look at stars once I start hitting goals as I wouldn't mind some things from their store.

Have a question though, what is Dise I keep hearing about..which rooms are under their name?
