If this is gutsy for you then you aren't used to 6max yet I took down a pot twice this size with A high yesterday.

Btw if you really just moved from 10max to 6max and are new to the changes this gives, I don't want to give the wrong impression that this is common however. Sometimes they either hit a miracle river or were on a weird sort of slowplay-turn-valuebet-river line. It's very read-based when you call this. But it'll happen a lot more than in full ring I think.

I make these calldowns from time to time if someone's betting pattern makes no sense at all, but I don't think you should let it become a habit. A lot of times they're bluffing but they still have a better hand than you do, and a lot of times they have some joke of a hand that hit a lucky river.

One situation where I call people a lot with ace high is if I raise preflop and get called by a very short stack in the blinds, and they open-push the flop. This is a bluff a huge percentage of the time and I usually have six outs even if it isn't a bluff.

    Downswinging holla!
I don't make calls like this much anymore since long term they just aren't very profitable. The money is not made in picking off bluffs with A high. Sometimes I'll make a river call with K high if I think I'm likely good, but rarely will I do it anymore, just isnt really worth it.
