I find postflop aggresion (or hitting sets) to be my biggest sources of income at $25Nl, alot of ppl will call u when u have them dominated and rather than risk scare cards (for either of u) on the turn and river I like to try and put things to a decision on the flop, this also helps my preflop raises alot since people will start to realize that most likel;ly they will have to call both the preflop and a large flop bet to see their hand through, and im basically always raising some amount with every hand in my tight arsenal, how much is a matter of position but even UTG I will min raise low PP (which usually makes the better players at the table suspect u have a very strong hand) to both create confusion and more action in the future. Also Im raising large preflop on AK, in a similar range as I would fo TT-QQ and if I miss the flop where i go depends mainly on who is in the pot and if I think i can fold them representing an overpair. If I hit an A or K on the flop Im playing the hand very fast, once in a long while i get caught by a set like this but much more often some idiot calls most of his stack on something like JK, QK, or AJ. (I guess they didnt read the part about them being trouble hands) . U will be amazed at how many players u can double through at $25NL on the flop with AK. |

I think the hardest thing for me has been working on the selective aggression part.I've had some days where I played my draws like made hands, then other days where I laid down TP to some punk bet on the turn or river because I felt that I was beat.I'm trying to address the situation now. | |

I have been intentionally trying to reduce my post-flop aggression lately, and my stats are now basically 3/3/3 flop turn and river compared to an average of 3.5 a couple of months ago. I think I am scaring too many worse hands out of pots and losing too many cont bets and probe bets to better hands. |
