    Default Thoughts on River Aggression

so the river is basically always a WA/WB situation since no can be drawing anymore. so does this mean that the river should usually be the most passively played part of every hand? of course this doesn't apply when you have a monster. am i thinking correctly here?

    really depends on the situation.

Say you have a decent hand, and the other guy's betting range is bigger then their calling range (say they have a busted flush draw), check/call is a good line.

Say you put them on a range where they have a decent made hand, 60% of which you beat, 40% of which you lose to. You know he will check behind the more marginal ones, and agressively value bet the big ones. He will call a bet with the more marginal ones. Betting and folding to a raise is far and away better here.

There is no dire need to bet over half pot anymore (hence blocking bets) but that's about it..

No, the river is either ahead, behind, or split. Because no one is drawing, there is no such thing as wa/wb on the river. I think that's what you meant to say.
