Micro-stakes, best strategy?
I just recently made my entrance into the world of online poker. Great site you guys have here and this is my first post so I'd just like to say hi first off.
I started out with 5$ SNGS and I'm still relatively break even, bubble play is my weakness I take the agression too far (however I am improving as of recent, read HoH 1 a couple times and am halfway through vol 2 and they definately help). I'd like to get into some ring play but I'm definately not rolled for 10nl, and since that's all party offers outside of the beginner area which I've locked out of after the grace period.
I played some 10nl on the prima network (lowest stakes they offer) with the 10$ bonuses but variance kicked my ass. The last hand I remember that made me go busto went something like:
Dealt to me AJ, raise in MP 4xbb.
3 callers.
Flop comes Jxx, so jack rags, no straight or flush possible.
I bet pot, get 1 caller. I put him on Jx maybe J10 or better, it's been a fishy game so far with people pushing on TPGK/TPWK all over the place.
Turn comes, another rag which kills any flush draw. I bet the pot, guy pushes, I call, and damned if I'm not right he shows J10. Still one card to come though....
10 falls on the river, he laughs it up and calls me an idiot.
So I figure I'll move on to stars and do the microstakes tables with 20$. That's 10 buy-ins at what should be some incredibly fishtastic games. I'm thinking the best approach here would be to use the 19 hand approach because all of my good hands should get paid off at these tables (note this is how i was approaching the 10nl tables, but again lady luck is a bitch, took beats like the one mentioned above for my roll when I made a good read, stuck with it, and got sucked out on). Any incite on where to start would be great.
