Default Another river problem that sucks

Opponent is kinda loose (30%ish VP$IP), passive pre-flop and bought in short (was at under $30.) Call this twice on sunday?

    PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $1.00 BB (9 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

    MP3 ($88.30)
    CO ($98.50)
    Button ($65.80)
    SB ($139.65)
    Fnord ($96)
    UTG ($94.50)
    UTG+1 ($130.30)
    MP1 ($100)
    MP2 ($39.55)

Preflop: Fnord is BB with 3, 3.
4 folds, MP3 calls $1, 2 folds, SB completes, Fnord checks.

    Flop: ($3) 4, 3, 9 (3 players)
SB checks, Fnord bets $3, MP3 folds, SB calls $3.

    Turn: ($9) Q (2 players)
SB checks, Fnord bets $6, SB calls $6.

    River: ($21) J (2 players)
SB checks, Fnord bets $15, SB raises to $108...

Ugly, but given the read, I see villain flipping over 2 pair often.

Check-raise river with a monster? Nah. Busted flush draw.

A check raise on the river is almost never a bluff in my experience...

Even passive players get crazy some times. Looks like he's pissed at you for trying to run him over and wants to show you his balls.

    Insta-call.

These two are not mutually exclusive.

Would KT/T8 really risk a check behind?

I don't get it either...and I go out of my way to understand the screwed up ways other people view this game so I can run exploitive counter-strategies.

You know you're running bad when, you think about this..... hmmm.... bigger set.... two pair.... busted flush making a really silly bluff.... gee wouldn't K T really fit the action..... but why the hell wouldn't he bet the flop or donk the kinda scary river? Yeah, it's K T Fuck it, no way I start fucking this up and start making bad laydowns on top of other crap.... I call.

    He had exactly K T
Such is the amazing power of IT happening to you.

    donks <3 taking that risk

Making this call is about neutral EV I would say.

Massive overbets like these are either the nuts or air.

Observe: Guy has A8 of clubs and stacks me. I really thought he would have bet the flop with this big of a hand but sometimes its not worth trying to outthink your opponent.

Naw, it doesn't have to be that complicated. I swing for the fences every once in a while just to add some unpredictability. Its like... ok, the pot is so-so now and if I win it here I have lost some money but what the heck, lets go for broke, if he bites Im in the money.
