    Default weak aces heads up

lately i have been losing with these quite often, and think i may be overvaluing them. i am fine raising/pushing with them, and i think all would agree that this is the way to play them. my question concerns calling with them. should i?? calling pushes i mean. there are so many hands that could push that i am ahead of, that i almost always seem to talk myself into calling. is this a horrible play, or only kind of bad?

i know stacks make a difference here, as i should be calling with either a very short stack or a very large stack (not entirely sure about this second one, but it just seems so right).

    some feedback would be appreciated

I push every Ace suited no matter what the second hole card is. I call any push when Iam ahead in chips heads up w/A face. We push with almost Q 9 - Ace anything. What makes you think they dont.. Ace/ 2-5 os IMO is not worth using for a call. Calling is different when your not the agressor. If its an instant push, I fold to them head up. If its the last hand before the blinds go up and they are in the SB... You may consider calling.

SnG Power Tools will answer any question you have about whether or not a push or call is correct. Or if you have some specific hands you want to know about, post them or PM them to me and I'll do the long hand calculations. I just recently learned and I'm always looking for interesting situations to evaluate.

if the ace is your only reason to call then you'll end up loosing SnG's in the long run. track your opponents and study the situation as a whole... and then look at the cards you have... not the other way.

been wandering through my heads-up poker tracker stats... it seems that with broadways i cracked ace weak 29 times, on a sample of 45 hands. And 30 out of 45 hands i was the one to push with broadways... hope that helps ya.
