Sick hand and tough break. I had a hand very similar to that a while ago at 100NL. I had JJ and checked in the big blind after 4-5 limpers. Flop was J84 rainbow. I check, and someone bet $4, got a couple calls, and I CR'ed to $16. He calls. Turn is a 2 completing the rainbow. I bet $24 he calls. Turn is a Q, I bet $30 and he shoves for his last $40, and I cry and fold. Maybe that's a -EV laydown due to the pot odds I was getting, but in my mind I was 100% sure he had the straight, so I folded.

Not to be a dick Fnord, but I think you can find a laydown on that river, but I really can't blame you for calling either.

You're giving up a bit by not playing your best hands even harder due to the implied odds against you. Folding there is kinda silly.

Laying down because you're likely to be beat is a leak.

Throw in the donk factor and I think it's a pretty easy call.
