Default QQ overpair, bet riv for value?

a few hands into the game, no reads, the BB is 40/5/1.5.

    Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (6 max, 6 handed)

    BB ($58.79)
    UTG ($70.32)
    Hero ($49.45)
    CO ($20.45)
    Button ($48.50)
    SB ($89.88)

Preflop: Hero is MP with Q , Q . SB posts a blind of $0.25.
1 fold, Hero raises to $2, 2 folds, SB (poster) calls $1.75, BB calls $1.50.

    Flop: ($6) 7 , 2 , 3 (3 players)
SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets $4, SB calls $4, BB calls $4.

    Turn: ($18) 5 (3 players)
SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets $10, SB calls $10, BB calls $10.

    River: ($48) 7 (3 players)
SB checks, BB checks, Hero ????

so, bet more on any street? bet river? how much?

7x and just got there and it's a pretty big pot, so if you bet something like $10 you're pretty much committed to calling $10-$20ish more. I would check this one behind.

The worst possible card for your hand fell on the river. Easy check behind.

Flush card hit, and the top card on the board paired. I check here without much hesitation. The only hand that can really call you is a better hand.

no value in betting at the end, check behind. you probably have the best hand at this point, but even if you bet there on the river, some one even just repping the flush or any7 could come back over. if that happens, do you still like your position? i think not as much as just checking down.
In answer to your question... it depends...

Betting more makes it very difficult to get away from this hand.

I like worse hands calling big bets. I think pushing gets folds too often and we're good for a $10-$15 bet here with a lot of value.

I think 10 is fine. Value without commitment.

whats wrong with commitment on the turn? half pot is weak against two opponents on this board.

i know, i should have bet at least 15. on the river i thought one of them could have 88-JJ and i wasn't sure about other hands, maybe one of them had A7 and he was now scared of the flush.plus i've seen enough donks who love to check raise you on the river, they seem to get a kick out of it.

I think half pot is fine. Its enough to get value for your hand, but not enough to get you committed or to scare off weaker hands. Plus a lot of opponents like to play two-pair hands like little pussies. I don't see many hands calling raises that would hit two pair on this board, but then again I am constantly amazed by the hands I see shown down.

You say its weak against two opponents on this board, so does that imply that if there was only one opponent the half pot bet would be more correct? I tend to push a single pair hand like queens a lot harder against a lone opponent than against multiple opponents.

Lots of draws (mainly flush draw possibly if they are ABC players) and I bet more on turn, closer to $15. River is a check, no way I am value betting here. These donks love to check their flushes after they have check-called all the way. But I dont think that is what they had here because you posted the hand
