    Default Scary Board

    Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (8 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

    UTG+1 ($5.05)
    MP1 ($23.30)
    MP2 ($22.25)
    CO ($9.71)
    Button ($45.33)
    Hero ($31.30)
    BB ($5.25)
    UTG ($19.75)

Preflop: Hero is SB with Q, Q. Hero posts a blind of $0.10.
5 folds, Button calls $0.25, Hero (poster) raises to $1.15, 1 fold, Button calls $1.

    Flop: ($2.75) 3, 8, 5 (2 players)
Hero bets $2, Button calls $2.

    Turn: ($6.75) 4 (2 players)
Hero bets $4, Button calls $4.

    River: ($14.75) 2 (2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets $8, Hero calls $8.

    Final Pot: $30.75

I see Fnord coming with "This is why I usually bet the river."

But in all seriousness, I insta-clicked this. It was a feeling, I don't get those a lot. I'm trying to decide if it was "goddamnit he sucked out hardcore" or "he's bluffing." Cause once in a while I call those first kind.

Anyway, anyone EVER make this call? Any naked ace wins the pot...

    Results in white below:
Hero has Qh Qc (one pair, queens).
Button has Js Ks (high card, king).
    Outcome: Hero wins $30.75.
Hero breathes deep sigh of relief.

That action smells of a pocket pair that made his set, but at this buyin, it could also be A8 pairing his 8's. I do everything the same, except the river. I would have placed $5 down as a blocking bet.

    Man I'm on!

Also, in reply to AHiltz, is a set going to bet that river? I doubt it.

Yeah, you should bet the river here. He'll let you know if you're beat or not.

The only reason you wouldn't bet the river here is if you wanted to induce a bluff, which is essentially what happened. I only do this when I am super strong, though, and with the way the hand played out I don't think you can assume this. I too, like you, make a crying call here...I'm glad it worked out for you.

I dont see why people run continuation bets against 3 opponents after missing a flop, this is like flushing money down the toilet... but if you'r into that, then by all means.

Tom, I do it on that board. Certainly not any board.

I think with a ten or higher on the board, I'm not repping.

Depends on the table, who's in the pot, and what the action was before me, but I do c-bet flops with multiple callers. You just need to c-bet hard if there's any draws.
