Default Problems beating 50NL on party

    Hi,

I need advice on how to beat 50NL on party. I've only been playing for a few months so I'm relatively new to the game, although I've had success playing 25NL with solid poker. From what I've seen over the last few weeks most tables that I'm at are usually 20-25% to the flop, and I'm having a hard time winning with marginal or TPTK'ish hands. Seems like that people usually don't call with dominated top pairs, and most of the time i'm either taking a tiny pot w/ them or meet resistance with re-raises. Flushes also seem to get folded to, and there appears to be a bunch of set farmers who smooth call my TPTK bets causing me to leak money.

All in all, I seem to be either winning very tiny pots, or losing medium'ish pots because I'm forced to fold. This i particularly difficult for me since I've been running cold.

Anyone with similar experiences? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

I've only just moved up to 50NL and have had some success at 6max and made a tiny loss at full ring, but here are my thoughts.
50NL doesn't really possess a more difficult challenge than 25NL. There are still plenty of fish out there that will call preflop AI when you have a monster with KQs etc and camping still pays off. The only difference I've noticed is that people respect re-raises a bit more (not that much more though) and play is generally a tiny bit tighter.

There do seem to be more people that know what they are doing, and I have been owned a few times with some good play, but in general if you look for a table with a lot of preflop raises and a lot of showdowns, a tight-agressive approach should pay off (or at least it has for me). Hitting two-pair/set or better and pushing when you feel ahead seem to be the way to go here...

table selection is a little more important at 50, avoid the rock gardens
take your ego out of the equation and judge the situation dispassionately
